All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Grace had sworn to do better than her father and to love, protect and support her children and mate with every breath and with every cell in her werewolf body. And now that promise is being tested. With her mate sacrificing himself for the greater good and her son fighting for his life after a tragedy none of them saw coming, Grace has to make the most unheard-of and arduous journey to locate the one place that holds all the answers they need. The only problem is that the place only exists within the veil of fairy magic and is faster than any known werewolf. And even if you manage to get inside, every fibre of your being is tested before you can locate what you seek. If you have loved Grace, her journey and her role in the supernatural world of werewolves, you will love this last segment of her life, where she gets to show who she really is and how she has changed the world around her for the better.

1. Prologue:Luca’s Rage

Luca gradually regained consciousness and found Grace holding his hand as she sobbed silently.

On his other side was his mother, and at the foot of his bed stood Levi. But there was only one person on his mind.

“Leo…” he managed to mouth through his parched throat as Grace squeezed his hand.

“He’s injured,” Levi said cryptically. “But Kaya and the doctor are trying to heal him, and Lyle is helping with the pain. He's in a coma, but alive”

Luca breathed out in relief. He felt so weak. “And Tiff?”

Grace burst into soft sobs, and his mother sniffled as well. Levi simply shook his head. “She’s gone. Sorcerer Supreme’s subordinate executed her.”

Luca closed his eyes and swore under his breath. He had hoped that it wouldn’t come to this and that his son would get a chance to love who he wanted.

After everything that they had done and worked towards, that was the least any of their children deserved. To love who they wanted. To mark who they loved. And to be free to choose their mate.

That was the right that had been taken away from Lyle and the choice that had been looked down upon when he accepted Grace.

That was what had started the downfall of the old king Lionel, and that was what had made the new kingdom special. Then how could the sorcerers take that right away from Leo?

From LEO!

Of all the wolves in the kingdom, they picked him?

He was everything a leader needed to be. He was loved, he was gifted, and he was the ideal Alpha firstborn that anyone could ask for. And the sorcerers dared to punish him?

Luca snatched his hand away from Grace, making her stop crying and look up at him in surprise.

But he was so angry with her that he didn’t care about his own health or her sorrow. How could she be like this?

“Stop moping around like a helpless weakling. I chose you as a mate for your strength. For your fighting skills and for the amazing warrior you are. So stop crying and teach those sorcerers a lesson.”

Grace blinked as she stared at him in shock.

“Luca...,” she began, but he pushed up and sat on the hospital bed with every ounce of strength he could muster. He wanted to be able to look Leo in the eye when his son woke up. Luca had never felt such red-hot rage. Such despise for another, as he did now. HE may be weak due to his affliction, but his strength had never been his body. It had always been his mind.

“Grace, that sorcerer should have known better. He should have thought twice before even thinking of harming Leo’s mate.

"Find Lyle and get the rest of my family together. We’re going to take down the Sorcerer Supreme. He needs to learn the consequences of messing with the Kamer Clan.”

I have now read the chapter.

Well alrighty then! Being a dad definitely did something to Luca!

Rage-wanting-violence from Luca feels so wrong and yet there's a part of me going "YES! Finally! He's a real Kamer!!!!!!

Am I supposed to be reading both books at the same time?

NN: It got me from chapter 1. I’m sad it ended, but I loved the whole story. It was very emotional to read parts of it, and the dynamics, characters, and plot twists were amazing. I’d like to have an epilogue... 10years from now. What happened to Dewey? Even Jordan hahahaha
