Chapter 1 — That night

It's eleven o'clock at night.

All the hustle and bustle of the city was slowly ending.

That night, when it was raining, Meera walked quickly with an umbrella.

She still needs ten minutes to get home.

That's when...

"Save me..."

A very low voice hit her ears.

Meera suddenly stopped.

The sound came from the side of the old warehouse nearby.

"Who's there?"

No answer.

Scared but eager to know what had happened, she slowly walked towards it.

She looked in through the half-open door of the warehouse.

Her breath stopped at the sight she saw.

A few people were standing there.

In front of them

A man, wearing a black shirt and black pants, stood without any change of expression despite the raindrops falling.

Aarav Verma

Meera had heard his name.

The most dangerous man in town.

But she never thought she would meet him in person.

Aarav slowly turned around.

His eyes fell straight into Meera's eyes.

One moment...

Both remained motionless.

The umbrella fell from Meera's hand.

"Who are you?" Aarav's voice was cold.

Meera could not say anything.

She tried to move back.

But…

Someone was already standing behind her.

“Sir…she has seen everything.”

Aarav's eyes moved to Meera again.

Meera's heart beat hard.

He walked towards her.

One step…

Two steps...

He stood in front of her.

"After seeing my world..."

He bent down a little and looked into her eyes.

“Not everyone can get out of it, Mira.”

Meera was shocked.

“My name is… how do you know that?”

A small smile appeared on Aarav's lips.

"Because..."

He was silent for a moment.

"It's not the first time I've seen you today."
