Before you start

Welcome to the “Before” stories; the years Ana and Hendrix spent falling in love, hiding it, and then not hiding it at all, long before The Fracture.

How this book works: I’m posting these as I finish them, not strictly in the order they happened. Every chapter title carries a timestamp so you always know where you are.

Once the collection is complete, I’ll reorder it chronologically, and I’ll tell you here when I do.

Countless years of stolen glances, of unconscious orbiting.

Hendrix has spent many agonising years firmly telling himself that Anastasia is just his best friends sister.

A girl he’s watched grow into a woman.

One woman he is strictly forbidden to touch... Right?

But when an early morning disaster has them alone in the kitchen together, his years of careful restraint go up in smoke.

Both think they have pulled off a secretive tryst... Unfortunately for them, its a shared estate, and Ana’s twin sister just woke up hasn’t had her coffee, and wants to know who the hell is in Ana’s room.
