A Note Before We Begin

This is not a book, just my little October notebook. 🍂

This month I joined two writing challenges here on Inkitt, and I wanted to keep all my entries in one place so I can look back on them one day.

🎃 Fictober, hosted by @JALark: a new prompt every day and a tiny story in 31 words or fewer.

✒️ 31 Days of Tautograms, hosted by @V_B_Veyr: pieces where every word begins with the same letter. It sounds simple until you try it! 😅

Some days the words came easily, and some days I chased them late into the night. I even had the joy of creating one of the tautogram prompts, and of writing beside my daughter.

Thank you to @JALark and @V_B_Veyr for these challenges, and to everyone writing alongside me. This little collection is my way of remembering a lovely month of words. 💛

Werewolf Hollow [GALATEA DATE TBA]

hazel_walker: Okay, this chapter was WILD 😭 The whole werewolf system, the FBIDWC, the discrimination, and the fact that Sylvia has been keeping Collin and Dylan’s situation a secret all came together so well. I especially loved the school chaos and Sylvia immediately going into protective-mom mode. And that end...

Cynical Optimist : You can never go wrong with a B. E. Harmel story. The plot is intriguing and the protagonists are mature and sensible.I was a little disappointed with the stylized writing. Harmel, a gifted storyteller easily draws the reader in by creating characters thatbwe can connect with emotionally. Hwre, she...
