Chapter 1

CHAPTER ONE

The Girl I Never Noticed

If someone had told me that one of the most important people in my life would be someone I barely noticed, I probably wouldn't have believed them.

Her name was Cindy.

Before high school, I didn't know her.

Well... technically, I had seen her before. We had been in the same school, but somehow, she had never really caught my attention. She was just another student among so many others.

I didn't know her.

I didn't know what she liked.

I didn't know what made her laugh.

I didn't know that one day, she would become one of my closest friends.

At that time, I was very close to my cousin. She was the person I spent most of my time with, and I never imagined that things would change.

Then middle school ended.

My cousin left the school, and I started my first year of high school. Everything felt different.

New class.

New people.

New environment.

And somewhere in the middle of all that change, I started noticing Cindy.

At first, we were just classmates.

Nothing more.

We didn't immediately become best friends. There was no magical moment where we suddenly looked at each other and knew we would become inseparable.

It happened slowly.

We started talking.

Then we started talking more.

We joked around.

We shared little stories.

We laughed together.

And before I realized what was happening, talking to Cindy had become part of my everyday life.

Then came the games.

When we got home, we'd play together. Roblox. Dress-up games. Free Fire. Fortnite. Sometimes we'd probably spend more time playing than we should have.

At school, we had our own little world too.

We talked.

We studied.

We read together.

We told stories.

We drew on the board.

We copied notes.

Sometimes, we even shared a seat.

There were so many little things.

And somehow, those little things became something much bigger.

Our friendship.

We became the kind of friends who could laugh over something completely ridiculous and then, five minutes later, be seriously discussing our problems.

We supported each other.

We fought sometimes, because no friendship is perfect. But somehow, we always found our way back to each other.

We made promises.

We kept them.

We laughed together.

We faced things together.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something.

I had found a person I never even knew I was looking for.

Cindy wasn't someone I had grown up with.

She wasn't someone I had known for years.

She was someone I had barely noticed.

And yet, she became one of the people I couldn't imagine my life without.

Even now, as I write this, we're still friends.

This isn't a story I invented.

It's our story.

A story about two girls who didn't even know each other at first...

and somehow became inseparable.

And this is only the beginning.

Quenda: Overall a good story. Looks like it is in need of a good proof reader as it contradicts itself at times...but overall a good story.
