The Things that happen in Khimket

Summary

Dev, who had initially intended to spend his days hiding from his father and eating whatever his landlord Gauri served him, was not supposed to have anything to do with whatever was happening in Khimket. Unfortunately, he had a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was also the matter of OJ, who was proving to be a rather persistent problem. Dev couldn't decide whether the man was genuinely insufferable or simply had a particular dislike for him. Either way, OJ seemed determined to ignore Dev, for reasons he couldn't quite explain, and Dev seemed equally determined to get on OJ's nerves. Between the peculiarities of village life, the things he couldn't quite make sense of, and a growing list of reasons to mind his own business, Dev was beginning to suspect that coming to Khimket might not have been his brightest decision. Then again, he had never been particularly good at making those.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

Stardust: I absolutely loved your writing style and the story was great as well. Generally I love the stories where there is love interaction between the characters but in this one without any explicit love scenes or even the explicit feelings,it really captured the attention well. I couldn't keep the book do...

UNDER HIS ROOF

Deborah Gabriella: The book has an unexpected plot twist, but no clues making you look forward to it. Making the story feel last minute and unplanned. The chemistry between the lead characters is shown extremely well. There's a good build up, in that regard. However with a bit more drama, maybe not between the couple ...
