Chapter 1

it begins...

One life, one mother, and one school.

I am Paisley Valentia Gonzales Martinez, a 19 year old student in Greenfield Academy. I was born on October 11th, in Los Angeles. I moved to Spain when I was 8 years old. My mother's name is Hailey Gabriela Gonzales Martinez, the reason why my last name is Martinez, it's because my mother married my careless, stupid stepfather named Miguel. He looks kind and loving, but on the inside, he is a devil to me. Whenever my mother's around, he acts like a loving father because he doesn't want my mom knowing that he hates me. I also questioned my mom, who was my father? But she would always reply, "Paisley, it's not yet the time I tell you." What the hell do you mean it is not yet the time, I'm literally 19, I'm 18+, but there's nothing to do about it.

June has arrived, and school is about to start, I don't really want to start school because I don't make friends. On a Saturday morning, my mom made pancakes as usual. As I picked up my spoon and fork, eating and gobbling my pancakes, I heard the door open, it was my stepfather. He said came to my mother, and said, "What's that awesome smell?" Of course, he is faking the attitude. As I scoop my last bite of pancake, I roll my eyes, and leave the dining room. I opened my room door, closed it when I came inside, and started cleaning my room.

16 minutes passed, and I finally finished. But, when I opened my cabinet to get my notebook, I saw a photo of a man who was dressed up as a soldier and held a gun. He looks like me, but whatever. I put the photo back in the cabinet, and question my mother, "Mom, please tell me, who is my real fath-" "I'm not answering that question again Paisley." She replied. I was really curious about it, welp, I'm going to ask the next day.

Maggie Varnum: Like that it was fast paced and suspenseful...loved the romance up ended a little to fast ...would have been better if there was a Luna ceremony chapter and a birth of son with name chapter with Cole as a dramatic dad in the delivery scene .... Overall I enjoyed it very much!

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
