All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Belladonna "Bella" Crane is a 23 year old witch born and raised in the heart of New Orleans. She spends her mornings raising her brother and trying to control her constant growing powers and she spends her nights bartending at The Dead Rose. A supernatural bar hidden in plain sight in the French Quarter. Her life is normal, well as normal as a supernatural life can be in the French Quarter. That is until a mysterious man shows up out of the blue and turns her world upside down. Exposing secrets long hidden and showing Bella that not everything is what it seems. Cassian Thorne thrives in the shadows. It's where he's most comfortable. He watches and waits. Taking in everything around him. His presence alone can cause a room to go silent, and he doesn't have to do anything but enter. Cursed to live forever he likes his loner life. No one to worry about. No weaknesses for his enemies to exploit. At least that's how he's always viewed the world until his duties land him right in the middle of New Orleans and right smack into a dark-haired witch who draws him in at every turn.

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
