Chapter 1 SEED

: Greyson Aubrey Cole:
“Hi guys! Welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel. My name is Ephrim Knight, but you can call me Remy! On today's episode we are going to be talking about the rise of a new online platform called SEED” the streamer grinned at the screen pulling up a couple of screenshots and putting himself in a box.
“Now SEED on the surface just looks like a dating app right, well it’s not, I took the liberty of purchasing one of the premium,” he pauses pretending to straighten an invisible tie and lapels as if wearing a suit. “VVIP memberships and when I tell you guys, this is straight up prostitution, look at these options for a ‘date’ guys.”
He proceeded to hold up his phone scrolling through the list of kinks and request options,
“Guys there’s literally options like ‘use as public urinal’ and ‘degradation’ like don’t get me wrong I’m so not kink shaming here, but who would actually pick any of these with a stranger!? Isn’t BDSM all about trust? I wouldn’t trust my girlfriend of seven years to do half of this shit to me and she’s my life! letting a stranger piss inside of me for, what is it oh shit a grand?! hell no! even that kind of money isn’t worth my fucking dignity man.”
He makes a disgusted face and shrugs.
“Anyways, I’ve taken all of these screenshots and sent them into my local police department so they can investigate the company because there is no way this shit is legal in the United States.”
The rest of the video plays in the background on the library computer as I pull out my phone only half hearing Remy talk about all of the steps he had to go through in order to get his premium VVIP membership and talking trash, all I’m hearing as I search up the app is its members are vetted to confirm their income, all payments are made into an escrow type account before the date and are only paid after the ‘provider’ leaves the premises and confirms the booking is over and not extended. And it’s all apparently recorded on a company wearable device so that neither party can say something did or did not happen during the ‘date’.
Now, for someone who’s loaded like Remy, or has the security to have morals around what is and is not immoral, caring about your dignity over the money is all well and fine. But see here’s the thing, it’s hard being a broke bitch, it’s even harder being a gay broke bitch in a big city, add in homeless and it being winter and yeah sucking a few dicks and letting someone piss in my ass not really on the ‘will not try’ list. Especially when one of them comes with a grand attached. How much does moral superiority earn me? nothing, that’s how much.
The app downloads quickly and loads slow updating immediately after I open it. the little loading bar at the bottom is cute though, it’s all swirly greens pushing a seed from one end to the other and as is pushes it you get to watch it sprout. By the time it reaches 100% and opens it’s a whole tree. Like I said cute. The main app, not so cute, the screen is white, blank, except for two options.
Sign in and create account.
Both are super basic icons, Black with white text. Oh well no big deal I’m here for the money not the design even if the cute seed to tree loading bar gave me hope for a cute interface too.
The sign-up process is daunting.
By which I mean Remy’s one hour video and my two-hour computer pass both finish before I’m done filling out all the questions. And it’s invasive too, but instead of feeling uneasy because of it, it actually makes me feel a bit better because like if this is even half of the process Remy and the ‘Doms’ have to go through to sign up then it probably weeds out a lot of sickos and weirdos who were just joining to fuck people up.
The first step was the TOS, not going to lie I skip the shit out of that who reads the terms and services!? No one has time for that! Especially not someone trying desperately to find a place to stay for the night that isn’t the shelter. After that it’s a long list of likes and dislikes, a consent to run a background check, an ID verification, a bank link, and then the thing I had dreaded but as soon as the health questions started figured would happen.
I answer a bunch of questions about my general health and previous sexual experiences; I don’t have any which probably saves a bit of time. The next screen is an address and a time.
I frown at it and look up the address. It’s a physician's office not far from here, technically within walking distance. I go back to the app and re-read the prompt.
Please arrive at 1750 Health Blvd, by three pm for your health screening and testing. Pay: $100
I get paid 100 bucks just to make sure I’m healthy enough to fuck? oh Remy checked out the wrong side of this app! Free health care AND pay!
I hit confirm and push back from the table I’d occupied for the last four hours answering the questions on the app. My back pops and I groan then hurry out the door. They want me there by three pm which is absolutely do able if I jog the whole way, also doable but… rude, I hate cardio days.
The doctors office is clean; that’s my first surprise and yes, I know how that sounds but considering the part of town it’s in, it’s still surprising to find the waiting room basically sparkling like the whole building is new despite the fact that I know it’s been here for years because my mom used to bring me here when I was a kid. And it definitely didn’t look like this back then.
“Wow, this place got a face lift huh!” I smile at the receptionist as I walk in, she’s objectively pretty, straight nose, bright blue eyes, full mouth, perfect complexion and wavy auburn hair.
“New partner, do you have an appointment?” she asks, her tone is decidedly less pretty. If you could record disinterest, it would be her tone. Nasally and flat at the same time, like Fran Drescher if all the shoes in the store were white flats. Theres no inflection, no spark of personality hidden underneath. I shift uncomfortably and nod.
“Yeah, Grayson Cole, I have a three o’clock health screening I believe?” she glances at her computer and types for a moment then sneers at the screen before schooling her face.
“Yeah okay, go sit over there the doctor for the SEED appointments will be out shortly.” She gives me a smile that doesn’t reach her eyes. I lean in slowly and smile back.
“Girl for what I’m going to be getting paid you can throw all the shade you want, hell have you ever been paid a flat hundo just to see the doctor? No? then maybe don’t sneer.” I hiss the words as a mother and her child walk in behind me, before turning and stalking off to the corner she’d pointed me towards and checked the time. 2:55PM. Early, perfect.
“Mr. Cole?”
I glance towards the voice and almost swoon on the spot. The doctor is a fucking hunk. He’s an absolute short king at like 5’6” but hot damn, that jawline is sharp enough to cut yourself on. Those eyes like gemstones, I’ve never liked brown eyes all that much but his have just a hint of copper to them and crinkle at the edges as he smiles. And speaking of his smile that mouth! Full, sensual lips that curve at the sides as he speaks.
“Fuck – heh – that’s – yes, that’s me.” I stumble up from my chair moving too fast and clearing my throat as I hurry towards him. Dear god, I’m probably going to need to learn to school my face and reactions a bit more huh, I doubt my clients uh – dates – are all gonna be good looking after all.
“Alright Mr. Cole right this way.” He glances over his shoulder at me as I follow him into a large room and waves me towards the table. It’s one of those big clunky ones that has the drawers and little tray that pull out, it also looks like it has the stirrups for the GYN half of OBGYN. I hop up and settle on the crackling paper.
“Okay, first I have to ask a few more questions to confirm some of the answers you gave on the application, then we’ll have Nancy come in and draw blood, then we can proceed with the other tests.” He smiles and I shift uncomfortably.
“Um I actually – is there any way that we can get the blood and tests out of the way before we talk? I uh – I have some eh – trauma I guess around needles and medical procedures so the longer between knowing and doing the more anxious I get.” I flash an awkward smile and he nods.
“Okay, that actually answers one of the questions I needed. You didn’t answer the question about any concerning medical history. Just typed N/A but everyone has at least one concerning issue with their medical history whether that’s an old injury that required surgery or a general fear of going to the doctor etcetera.” He smiled and typed something in. “But we can absolutely pull the blood and do the medical portion first.”
