CHARACTERS AESTHETICS
ISHQ WALA JHAMELA ♡
— get to know the characters —
Disclaimer: All characters and events in this story are fictional.
AADHYA MEHRA
The girl who never loses.
“Mujhe usse koi problem nahi hai. Bas woh mere saamne na aaye.”
Age: 17
Class: XII-B
Personality: Stubborn, ambitious, sarcastic, secretly sensitive.
Aadhya Mehra is the kind of girl who has her life planned out in colour-coded notebooks but somehow can't plan a single conversation without arguing with one particular boy.
She's academically brilliant, fiercely independent, and never lets anyone have the last word. She believes in hard work, self-respect, and keeping her circle small. Beneath all that confidence, however, is a girl who cares a little too much about the people she loves.
Romance has never been on her priority list. She's got grades to maintain, a future to build, and absolutely no patience for boys who think irritating her is a personality trait.
Unfortunately, Reyansh Rathore seems determined to become an exception to every rule she's ever made.
LIKES: Books, good grades, rainy evenings, cold coffee, peaceful mornings.
DISLIKES: Arrogance, losing arguments, people touching her stationery, Reyansh Rathore.
HER BIGGEST WEAKNESS: Caring too much and pretending she doesn't.
HER STORY: She never planned on falling for her biggest rival. Unfortunately, her heart doesn't care about her plans.
And if anyone asks whether she likes Reyansh Rathore?
“Main aur woh? Please. Isse achha toh main poori zindagi single reh loon.”
REYANSH RATHORE
The boy who loves to provoke her.
“Tum mujhe pasand nahi karti, koi baat nahi. Main toh khud ko pasand hoon.”
Age: 17
Class: XII-B
Personality: Charming, mischievous, competitive, quietly thoughtful.
Reyansh Rathore has two talents: scoring excellent marks and getting on Aadhya Mehra's nerves.
He's intelligent, effortlessly confident, and always has a comeback ready. Teachers appreciate his potential, his friends are used to his nonsense, and Aadhya would happily nominate him for the award of Most Irritating Person Alive.
He loves a challenge, hates being underestimated, and uses humour whenever a conversation gets too serious. Most people see a confident boy who always seems to have everything under control.
Not everyone notices how much he observes.
He remembers the little things people tell him. He notices when someone's having a bad day. And when he starts caring about someone, he shows it through small gestures rather than grand declarations.
Aadhya, unfortunately for him, notices almost everything except the fact that he's beginning to like her.
LIKES: Football, music, friendly competition, late-night conversations, making Aadhya roll her eyes.
DISLIKES: Fake people, being ignored, losing, admitting when he's wrong.
HIS BIGGEST WEAKNESS: The one girl who refuses to be impressed by him.
HIS STORY: He started arguing with her because it was fun. He kept finding reasons to talk to her because, somewhere along the way, it stopped being just fun.
And if anyone asks whether he likes Aadhya Mehra?
“Main? Usko? Bhai, kuch bhi bol le. Itni bhi buri kismat nahi hai meri.”
The fact that he smiles every time someone mentions her is completely irrelevant. Obviously.

KABIR MALHOTRA
The boy who pretends not to care.
“Mishika ko samjhana impossible hai. Aur usse ignore karna usse bhi zyada.”
Age: 17
Class: XII-B
Personality: Easygoing, sarcastic, observant, dependable.
Kabir Malhotra is the kind of guy who minds his own business until his best friend starts making questionable decisions. Then he minds everyone's business.
He's Reyansh's closest friend, a football enthusiast, and the only person in their group who occasionally remembers that exams exist.
He doesn't talk unnecessarily, doesn't take most things seriously, and has mastered the art of responding to chaos with one exhausted look.
Except Mishika Sethi is a different matter.
She's loud when he's trying to concentrate, steals his food without asking, argues with him over absolutely nothing, and somehow manages to make him laugh even when he's determined not to.
He tells everyone she's annoying.
He saves her a seat anyway.
He complains when she steals his fries.
He buys extra the next day.
And when she's unusually quiet, he's always the first to notice.
LIKES: Football, good food, music, loyal friends, seeing Mishika happy.
DISLIKES: Unnecessary drama, early-morning classes, people hurting his friends, his own suspiciously soft feelings.
HIS BIGGEST WEAKNESS: A girl who thinks she's impossible to love when he's slowly realising how easy she is to care about.
HIS STORY: He never intended to fall for Mishika. He just kept choosing her company until it became his favourite part of the day.
And if anyone asks whether he likes Mishika Sethi?
“Bhai, pagal hai woh. Sar dard hai ek number ki.”
Then he checks his phone to see if she's messaged him.
Just in case.
MISHIKA SETHI
The girl who knows everyone's business except her own.
“Main sabki love story samajh sakti hoon. Apni? Woh alag baat hai.”
Age: 17
Class: XII-B
Personality: Dramatic, talkative, loyal, shamelessly curious.
Mishika Sethi has three hobbies: gossiping, giving unsolicited relationship advice, and pretending she doesn't care about things she absolutely cares about.
She's Aadhya's best friend and the unofficial detective of Class XII-B. If two people exchange a suspicious glance in the corridor, Mishika knows. If someone starts acting differently around their crush, Mishika knows. If there's drama happening anywhere in school, she's probably already heard about it.
She's the friend who makes ordinary days memorable, turns every minor inconvenience into a dramatic story, and will defend her people without a second thought.
But for someone who knows everything about everyone else's love life, she's surprisingly clueless about her own.
Especially when it comes to Kabir Malhotra.
The boy who annoys her almost as much as Reyansh annoys Aadhya. The boy whose food she steals, whose messages she waits for, and whose opinion matters a little more than she'd ever admit.
LIKES: Romance novels, gossip, cute stationery, late-night calls, stealing Kabir's food.
DISLIKES: Being ignored, boring conversations, disloyalty, Kabir acting like he doesn't care.
HER BIGGEST WEAKNESS: A soft heart hidden behind an unnecessarily dramatic personality.
HER STORY: She can recognise a love story from a mile away. Shame she can't recognise her own.
And if anyone asks whether she likes Kabir Malhotra?
“Eww, woh? Usse achhe toh school ke gate pe khade uncle hain.”
Kabir, unfortunately, is standing right behind her.

KABIR AND MISHIKA
♡ A LITTLE NOTE FOR MY READERS ♡
And that's our little gang! Four people, two love stories, endless arguments, and absolutely no idea what's waiting for them. 😭❤️
Ek taraf hai Aadhya and Reyansh, jo ek doosre ko do minute bhi chain se nahi rehne dete. Aur doosri taraf hain Mishika and Kabir, jo ek doosre ko irritate karne ka koi mauka nahi chhodte.
The funny part? None of them has any idea what's coming their way. 👀
So, tell me, who's your favourite so far? Are you rooting for Aadhya and Reyansh's enemies-to-lovers story, or are you already falling for Mishika and Kabir's constant nok-jhok?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, theories, and predictions in the comments! Don't forget to vote, add the story to your reading list, and stick around for all the drama, unexpected feelings, jealousy, friendship, and ishq wala jhamela coming your way.
Thank you for giving my little story a chance. Every vote, comment, and read means a lot to me. 🫶🏻
Abhi toh sirf introductions hue hain, asli jhamela toh ab shuru hoga! 🤭💌
See you in Chapter 1!
With love,
Your author ♡ ✨
