Chapter 1
Epi 1
The night over the city was unlike any ordinary night. Silence hung heavy over the desolate streets, broken only by the cold glow of
flickering streetlights and the looming silhouettes of crumbling, ancient buildings. An unseen terror lingered in the damp air. This was the City of Obsession—a realm where crime served as the law, and affection was wielded strictly as a weapon.
A soft rain dripped rhythmically onto the asphalt. The slick black pavement reflected scattered droplets like the fragments of shattered dreams. Far off in the dark, a police siren wailed briefly before suffocating in the silence. Here, silence was the most lethal weapon of all.
Rising directly out of the city’s heart stood a massive skyscraper constructed from dark polished stone and reflective glass. It was a breathtaking structure, mesmerizing anyone who gazed upon it. Professionals considered it the highest honor to work within its walls. On the topmost floor, a man stood near the floor-to-ceiling glass panel. Standing well over six feet tall with broad, powerful shoulders, he possessed an unmistakable aura. His eyes carried an intense flame capable of burning everything to ash, while his face maintained an unsettling composure designed to drive his enemies to madness. The entire city bowed its head at the mere mention of his name. He held no political office, nor did he sit upon a legal throne, yet the city breathed only at his command. His name was Ayan Khan, known to the underworld simply as A.K.
In his hand, he swirled a glass of whiskey where ice cubes slowly dissolved. He stared down at the sprawling metropolis below—a kingdom he had built through sheer fear and blood.
"Power never makes a sound," he murmured in a low, deep voice. He took a slow sip from his glass and whispered to the empty room, "You cannot run from me. I have returned, and I will bring a destruction so absolute that people will remember it for centuries."
Location: Karachi
In an old, decaying neighborhood of the city, a young woman sat by a small window inside a dimly lit room. Sleep was far from her eyes; only pure terror remained. Dressed in simple attire with unkempt hair, her eyes reflected the overwhelming fear of being hunted. Her name was Hira Mahtab. In her trembling hands, she clutched an old envelope—the single object that had upended her entire life. Inside the envelope was a photograph depicting a gruesome murder scene. Scrawled across the back were two bold letters: A.K.
Hira’s breathing grew rapid, and a violent tremor ran through her body. Her lips quivered as she whispered, "This is the ultimate proof against the biggest criminal in this city."
She knew all too well that if this secret were ever exposed, a terrifying storm would erupt—and she would be the first casualty.
Suddenly, a loud, heavy knock rattled the front door. Hira jumped in sheer horror, her heart hammering against her ribs as if trying to burst free.
"Hira!" a male voice called out urgently from the other side. "Open the door!"
It was her brother, Hamza. Relieved yet terrified, she quickly unlatched the door. Hamza stepped inside, his eyes wild with anxiety. "You have to get out of here right now! You’ve come under A.K.’s radar!" He began frantically shoving her belongings into a travel bag.
Hira pressed the envelope tightly against her chest. "Where will I go? No... n-no, he’ll find me. He’ll k-kill me... he’s going to kill me!" She collapsed against the wall, sobbing hysterically.
"He won't find you!" Hamza insisted, trying to steady his voice.
"I will bring the truth to light," she whimpered through her tears.
Hamza paused, staring at his sister. For the first time, he realized that this fragile girl wasn't just a bystander in this ruthless city—she was destined to become its retribution.
Meanwhile, on the top floor of the high-rise tower, Ayan Khan’s phone screen lit up on the desk. A brief message appeared: “Sir, there is a girl... she knows the secret.”
A faint, dangerous smirk touched Ayan’s lips—the kind of smile that had never boded well for anyone. "Finally," he muttered under his breath, turning away from the window glass. "The city has finally thrown a challenge my way." He picked up his suit jacket, looked toward his assistant, and issued a single, cold command: "Bring her to me."
