The wedding eve
The news was everywhere.
From social media to television stations, newspapers, and
entertainment websites, everyone was talking about the same thing
-the wedding of the year.
Amelia Richard and Daniel Harrington were getting married
tomorrow.
Their names had been trending for days.
People from different parts of the country were excited about the
union between two of the wealthiest families in the country. Some
called it the wedding of the decade, while others described it as the
perfect combination of beauty, wealth, and power.
But today wasn't the wedding.
Today was the wedding eve.
And everything had to be perfect.
The biggest and most luxurious hotel in the city, Grand Aurella Hotel,
had been chosen as the venue for the wedding.
The hotel stood proudly in the heart of the city. Its enormous glass
entrance reflected the sunlight, while expensive chandeliers hung
from the ceilings inside. The hallways were decorated with golden
details, expensive paintings, and fresh flowers imported from
different countries.
It was the kind of place where only the richest people could afford to
stay.
And today, the entire hotel was busy.
Workers were running from one place to another, preparing the
rooms, arranging tables, carrying flowers, checking lights, and
making sure everything was ready for the following day's
celebration.
The groom's family had employed some of the most expensive
decorators in the city.
Among them was Mrs. Aura, one of the most respected decorators in
the country.
People travelled from different cities just to sign contracts with her.
But today, Mrs. Aura was extremely busy.
She stood in the middle of the enormous wedding hall, looking
around with a serious expression.
"How many times do I have to tell you?" she shouted.
The workers immediately stopped what they were doing and looked
at her.
"Tie the decoration up there! Be fast!"
She clapped her hands impatiently.
"Have you decorated the entrance?"
One of the workers swallowed nervously.
"No, ma'am."
Mrs. Aura's eyes widened.
"Get out now!"
The worker quickly lowered his head and hurried away.
Whenever Mrs. Aura was busy, she was always angry. She expected
perfection from everyone who worked for her, and nobody wanted
to be on her bad side.
Meanwhile, inside the enormous kitchen, almost two hundred chefs
were preparing food.
The kitchen was filled with the smell of different dishes. The heat was
almost unbearable, but nobody complained.
They couldn't afford to.
Everyone knew that the manager of Grand Aurella Hotel kept a strict
black book containing the names of workers who caused problems.
Nobody wanted their name inside it.
The chefs continued working tirelessly.
Some were preparing desserts, others were cooking meat and
seafood, while another group was arranging meals that would be
served to the hundreds of guests expected to attend the wedding.
At the same time, the hotel manager was downstairs supervising the
arrangement of the cutlery.
His name was Mr. Andrew Black.
He was known throughout the hotel for being extremely strict.
Andrew picked up one of the plates and examined it.
His face immediately changed.
"What are you doing?" he yelled. "Is this how you do things?"
The workers froze.
"We're sorry, sir," they said together.
Andrew shook his head angrily.
"Just make sure everything is done properly."
The workers quickly disappeared and returned to their duties.
Suddenly, Andrew's assistant rushed toward him.
"Sir, they're here."
Andrew immediately straightened his suit.
"You guys should be fast," he ordered.
The workers immediately ran in different directions.
Andrew walked toward the entrance to welcome the arriving
families.
A few minutes later, several expensive cars stopped in front of Grand
Aurella Hotel.
Andrew walked forward with a polite smile.
"Welcome. It is my pleasure to have you here."
He bowed respectfully.
The workers standing nearby were shocked.
They had never seen their boss bow to anyone.
Andrew was usually a rude man who barely cared about people's
feelings.
One of the workers leaned toward her co-worker.
"It means this family is extremely wealthy."
"Yes," the other worker whispered. "Let's focus on our work."
The doors of the first car opened.
Amelia stepped out with her family.
She looked elegant and confident, and immediately, several people
turned to look at her.
Amelia was the only daughter of Richard, one of the richest
businessmen in the country.
She was getting married to Daniel Harrington, one of the youngest
billionaires in the country.
Amelia was known for her beauty, intelligence, and calm personality.
Many wealthy businessmen had wanted to marry her. Some were
willing to offer her expensive gifts and even share their wealth with
her just to win her heart.
But Amelia had never cared about money.
She had fallen in love with Daniel.
Behind Amelia was her mother, Jessica.
Jessica had once been a Victoria's Secret model and had been admired
for her beauty during her modelling career.
Amelia had inherited much of her mother's beauty.
Then came Richard.
Richard was one of the most powerful businessmen in the country.
His company specialized in the production of luxurious cars, and he
owned almost two hundred shopping malls across the country.
He was also involved in the jewelry business, particularly expensive
pieces made from gold.
His wealth had made him one of the most influential men in the
country.
On the other side was the Harrington family.
Daniel Harrington was the youngest billionaire in the country.
He was handsome, quiet, and rarely spoke more than necessary.
He was a merchant and a powerful businessman with connections to
the underworld. Although he usually appeared calm, there was
something intimidating about his presence.
His aura alone was enough to make people think twice before
provoking him.
Daniel was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrington, and he had
inherited his father's company.
As the two families entered the hotel, Andrew personally escorted
them inside.
The moment they entered the wedding hall, Amelia's eyes widened.
The decorations were breathtaking.
Thousands of flowers had been carefully arranged around the hall.
Crystal chandeliers reflected the light across the golden walls, while
the tables had been covered with expensive white cloth and
decorated with elegant centerpieces.
"This is beautiful," Jessica said.
Amelia smiled.
Everyone seemed impressed by the amount of effort that had been
put into the wedding.
Guests had already started arriving from different cities and
countries.
Businessmen, celebrities, family friends, relatives, and important
associates filled the hotel.
The wedding was going to be the talk of the month.
Daniel walked through the crowd holding Amelia's hand.
People whispered as they watched them.
"They look perfect together."
"Look at Daniel."
"Amelia is so beautiful."
"They are definitely the couple of the year."
Daniel greeted his friends and several important business associates
who had arrived for the wedding.
Amelia, meanwhile, joined her friends and began talking with them.
She laughed at their jokes, but after a few minutes, she excused
herself.
She wanted to speak to her father.
Amelia found Richard standing alone near one of the hotel's large
windows.
Something about him immediately caught her attention.
He didn't look happy.
In fact, he looked worried.
"Father," Amelia called.
Richard turned around quickly.
"Amelia."
She walked toward him.
"Are you okay?"
Richard forced a smile.
"Nothing, dear."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course."
He placed a hand gently on her shoulder.
"Go and have fun. It is your wedding eve."
Amelia smiled slightly.
"Okay, Father."
She turned to leave.
But just as she took a few steps away, Richard's phone vibrated.
He looked at the screen.
A mysterious message had arrived.
His expression immediately changed.
He quickly turned his phone away and read the message.
His eyes widened slightly.
Then he locked the phone and slipped it into his pocket.
Amelia turned around unexpectedly.
"Father?"
Richard looked at her.
"Yes?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to say I'll see you later."
"Of course, dear."
Amelia smiled and walked back toward her friends.
Richard watched her leave.
The sounds of laughter and music filled the hotel.
The guests continued discussing business, families, and the upcoming
wedding.
The MC eventually walked onto the stage.
He picked up the microphone and smiled.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please?"
The conversations slowly died down.
"Let us all welcome the bride and groom!"
Everyone applauded.
Daniel reached for Amelia's hand.
Together, they walked toward the stage.
They smiled at the crowd as the applause grew louder.
They gave short speeches about their love, their families, and their
excitement for the wedding.
Afterward, they returned to their seats.
The party continued.
Music filled the hall, guests laughed, and workers continued moving
around to make sure everyone was comfortable.
Andrew stood at the side of the hall watching everything.
For the first time that day, he smiled.
Everything seemed perfect.
The workers had finally finished most of their preparations, and
Andrew took some of them into a room to celebrate their hard work.
But while everyone was celebrating, Richard remained near the
entrance.
He wasn't smiling.
His eyes were fixed on the hotel doors.
He looked as though he was waiting for someone.
Someone he knew.
Someone he had been expecting.
And when the doors opened once again, Richard suddenly froze.
His expression changed.
He recognized the person standing at the entrance.
But before anyone could notice his reaction, Richard quickly looked
away.
The wedding was tomorrow.
Everyone believed it would be a day of happiness.
Nobody knew that before the wedding could begin, Grand Aurella
Hotel would become the center of a mystery that would change every
family inside it forever.
