She closed her eyes tightly and covered her ears with both hands to escape the sounds of arguments and shouting.
No matter how hard she tried to hold it back, her eyes still showed signs of disobedience. Tears ran down her cheeks and onto the textbooks in front of her, soaking the letters. After a few moments of loud noises, there was complete silence. Realizing this, she removed her hands from her ears and slowly opened her eyes. After wiping her eyes and face, she opened the door to her room, sticking her head out, and looked around the hall. She couldn't see anyone there. She closed the door of her room again. She went to the table where her tear-stained textbooks were kept. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't concentrate on her studies. It was as if someone was pulling her back. She sat down in the chair next to the table. She lay down with her head on the book that was open on the table. Slowly, she fell asleep. The next day, as soon as she woke up, she heard the clanging of dishes, arguments, and grumbling. Before she could even open her eyes, the sounds reached her ears and made her feel very uncomfortable. She covered her ears and closed her eyes tightly to escape the sounds. Perhaps that was the only way she had to escape reality. She opened her eyes when she heard a loud knock on her room door. She wiped her eyes and face and opened the door. Her heart shuddered when she saw her mother standing in front of her room. "Adalinee, you haven't woken up in so long? Don't you have an exam today? You won't study either!.. You always sleep, go and freshen up, and clean the house. " Saying that, she left from there. Adaline continued to stand there for a while. Then she looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:00. She quickly walked to the bathroom. She felt the cold water hit her face and the area around her eyes swell up. It didn't take her long to realize that it was the result of yesterday's crying. When she came out of the bathroom fresh, she saw her father leaving for work with the car key in his hand. He took his car and left without paying attention to anyone. Anger flashed across her mother's face as she watched this through the kitchen window. At this moment, Adaline came into the kitchen. The woman's eyes lit up with joy at having a body to vent her anger and hatred on. Adaline took a plate and served her breakfast on it, and sat down with the plate on a chair attached to the kitchen table. "There are no other thoughts except these two: eat and sleep." The woman's words reached Adaline's ears. "What i did?"Realizing that she couldn't hold back any longer, Adaline raised her voice and asked, "What haven't you done? My life has been ruined since you were born, and now you asking what have you done?".Even though those words were familiar, they still pierced her heart. She put the food she was about to put in her mouth back on the plate. Realizing that her eyes were starting to fill with tears again, she quickly got up, washed her hands, andStarted cleaning the house. Still, she deliberately pretended not to hear the cursing words she heard from behind.
