Summary

THE SOURCE: BEFORE THE FALL Some destinies are written in the stars. Others are paid for in blood. Six worlds. Ancient powers. A darkness waiting to rise. For centuries, the worlds of Ligtian, Aquarius, Earrhens, Airlos, Solar, and Aureon have existed under the protection of a power greater than any kingdom, any ruler, or any weapon: the Heart of Light. But even the brightest light casts a shadow. When an unexpected death at the Eclipse sets events in motion, the balance protecting the six worlds begins to unravel. And as ancient secrets surface and darkness gathers, a young man named Isaac discovers that his life is connected to something far greater than he ever imagined. He is the Source. But being chosen does not mean being prepared. As the boundaries between destiny and destruction begin to collapse, Isaac must confront a truth that could change everything he knows about himself and the worlds he is destined to protect. Because the greatest threat may not be the darkness approaching. It may be what the light demands in return. Before the fall, there was a choice. And that choice would change everything. The Source: Before the Fall is a fantasy saga of destiny, sacrifice, ancient power, and the fragile boundary between light and darkness. The first chapter of a much greater story begins here.

PROLOGUE

Before Time

Before the existence of time…

Before the birth of stars…

Before the first world ever took shape…

There was only Darkness.

Not the darkness of night.

Not the darkness that comes when the sun disappears.

This was something far older.

An endless, infinite void where nothing existed. No sound. No movement. No life. No beginning. No ending.

There was no time to measure the passing of moments, because moments themselves had never been created.

There was only silence.

And within that silence, Darkness ruled alone.

Until…

A single point of Light appeared.

At first, it was almost nothing.

A tiny spark within an endless emptiness.

A fragile existence surrounded by a force that had existed since forever.

The Darkness should have consumed it.

But it did not.

Because unlike the Darkness…

The Light grew.

With every passing moment, the spark expanded. It stretched across the void, bringing warmth where there had only been emptiness. It pushed against the endless nothingness, and wherever its glow reached, the Darkness retreated.

The Light was not simply brighter.

It was different.

It carried creation within it.

Then came the moment that changed all existence.

A moment that would forever be remembered as the beginning.

The Light exploded.

A force beyond imagination shattered the silence of the void.

BOOM.

Creation was born.

Universes formed from the endless energy released by the Light. Stars awakened for the first time, burning across the newly formed heavens. Galaxies spread across infinity, each carrying countless possibilities. Space expanded.

Time began to flow.

Reality itself became whole.

But the Light did not stop.

It continued to evolve.

It became aware.

It became conscious.

It became more than a force.

It became a living presence.

The Light became the Source.

The creator of existence.

Yet even after creating countless wonders across the universe, the Source desired something more. It wanted a world of its own—a place where its power could exist in harmony, a home at the heart of creation.

So the Source gathered the elements of existence and formed a planet unlike any other.

A planet of oceans and mountains.

A planet of fire and wind.

A planet where the Light itself would forever remain.

Its name was Ligtian.

Upon Ligtian, the Source shaped continents, oceans, forests, and skies. It created a world filled with beauty and power.

But surrounding every land were the Forbidden Oceans.

Vast waters that stretched beyond imagination.

Ancient seas that separated the realms from one another.

No ordinary traveler crossed them.

No kingdom truly understood them.

They remained untouched, guarding secrets hidden since the earliest days of creation.

Across Ligtian, five great civilizations rose.

The first was Aquarius.

The Realm of Water.

A kingdom built among oceans, islands, and endless waves.

The people of Aquarius carried a unique connection to the sea. They could shift between human form and water form, becoming one with the very element that surrounded their home. They commanded water and fire, and they protected the memories of the world, for the oceans remembered everything that had ever touched them.

Aquarius was ruled by King James and Queen Leah.

Their greatest hope rested in their twins, Maxwell and Nicole—the heirs of the sea.

The second realm was Earthen.

The Realm of Earth.

A land of towering mountains, ancient forests, and powerful guardians.

Its people were known as the Gardrocks.

They possessed the ability to transform their bodies into stone and command the forces of earth and air. They were protectors of Ligtian itself, standing as the shield between the world and those who would threaten it.

Earthen was ruled by King Unan and Queen Gia.

But despite their power and their kingdom's strength, one thing remained missing from their lives.

An heir.

A child who would one day carry their legacy.

The third realm was Airlos.

The Realm of Wind and Ice.

A kingdom that existed above the clouds.

Its floating islands moved through the skies, surrounded by storms, frozen winds, and endless skies.

The people of Airlos mastered air, ice, invisibility, and travel. They alone carried the knowledge of ancient portals and sky bridges that connected the realms of Ligtian.

Their young king, Los, carried a heavy crown.

He had inherited his throne after losing his parents to the mysterious Forbidden Oceans.

The fourth realm was Solar.

The Realm of Fire.

A kingdom of heat, flame, and radiant fields.

The people of Solar controlled fire, earth, seasons, and the balance of weather itself. Their power was not only destruction—it was also creation, growth, and the preservation of nature's balance.

Solar was ruled by King Blazen.

A proud king.

A powerful king.

But beneath his strength was the pain of a ruler who had lost his family to the Forbidden Oceans.

And at the very center of Ligtian stood the fifth realm.

Aureon.

The Heart of Light.

Aureon was unlike any other kingdom.

It contained pieces of all the realms.

Forests from Earthen.

Rivers from Aquarius.

Skies from Airlos.

Firelight from Solar.

At its center stood the greatest structure ever created.

The Source Citadel.

The home of the Light's chosen vessel.

For the Source had created a system to maintain order.

A being would be chosen.

A vessel powerful enough to carry the Light.

An immortal guardian who would rule over all realms and preserve balance.

They would be known as the Source.

But on the day the first Source was created, something happened that would remain hidden for thousands of years.

A lunar eclipse covered the heavens.

And that moment created a flaw within existence itself.

Once every eclipse…

The Source would become mortal.

For one single day, the immortal vessel would lose the protection of the Light.

And for twenty thousand years, every Source carried this hidden weakness.

A secret waiting for the right moment to be discovered.

Because while the Light created a vessel…

Darkness created one too.

The Darkness that existed before creation never truly disappeared.

When the Light spread across existence, Darkness adapted.

It created a realm beyond normal reality.

A domain hidden within a black hole where no ordinary light could reach.

And there, Darkness created its first child.

A vessel of shadow.

Her name was Nix.

Unlike the Source of Light, Nix did not exist only as a force.

She had a physical form.

She watched the universe from her hidden domain.

She waited.

She believed existence had become unbalanced.

And she sought only one thing.

Reversal.

The return of Darkness.

The fall of Light.

And after thousands of years, the balance of Ligtian would depend on a single question…

Could Light survive its own weakness?

Because the next Source had already been chosen.

His name was Daniel.

And his story was about to collide with a boy who had no idea that destiny had already found him.

His name was Isaac.
