Sommer 2022. Die Sommerferien beginnen und für uns auch das größte Abenteuer unseres Lebens. Seit gerade einmal fünf Wochen arbeiten wir, Juliane, Cora, Anna und ich (Pia), als Betreuerinnen beim Caritas-Verband. Und dann kommt direkt die erste große Herausforderung: unsere allererste Kinder- und Jugendfreizeit. 30 Kinder. Vier Betreuerinnen. Ziel: der Diemelsee. Was nach Spaß, Sonne und unvergesslichen Momenten klingt, wird schon vor der Abfahrt zur ersten Belastungsprobe. Streit, Chaos und jede Menge Verantwortung treffen auf vier völlig unerfahrene Betreuerinnen, die eigentlich selbst noch herausfinden müssen, wie das alles funktioniert. Doch was als aufregender Sommer beginnt, entwickelt sich schnell zu mehr als nur einer Freizeit. Denn am dritten Tag passiert etwas, womit niemand gerechnet hat … Eine Geschichte über Verantwortung, Freundschaft, Überforderung und einen Sommer, der alles verändert. Nach einer wahren Begebenheit.
