The Level 999 Baby

—Eldarandia.

In this world ruled by swords and magic, darkness was spreading across the land under the reign of the Demon King, Balogard.

Amid these troubled times, a party of five heroes had set out from the royal capital.

Allen, the Hero.

Serena, the Priestess.

Blitz, the Swordsman.

Zeke, the Mage.

And Mira, the Thief.

Together, they journeyed across the land on a quest to defeat the Demon King and save the world.

One day, their travels brought them to a remote village on the western frontier.

As they passed a cabbage field on the outskirts of the village—

“...Did anyone else hear crying?”

Allen stopped in his tracks.

A faint, fragile cry drifted toward them on the breeze from somewhere deep within the field.

Serena hurried toward the sound and gently parted the broad green leaves.

“A baby...! All alone out here...!”

There, wrapped in cabbage leaves, lay a tiny infant, crying and waving his little arms and legs.

They questioned the villagers, but no one knew anything about the baby’s parents.

Had he been abandoned?

Or had he somehow miraculously survived on his own?

Allen spoke with firm determination.

“As a hero, I can’t just leave him here. We’ll raise him ourselves.”

And so, the heroic party continued their journey—with a baby in their arms.

From that day onward, whenever villagers or innkeepers saw Allen and Serena carrying the baby, they always asked the same question.

“Oh, my! Is this your little one?”

“H-He is NOT our child!!”

Allen and Serena denied it in perfect unison.

Then, one day, while traveling through a forest, the party found themselves surrounded by beastmen soldiers from the Demon King’s army.

Their swords and magic were nearly exhausted.

They were hopelessly outnumbered.

There seemed to be no escape.

And then—

“Watch out!”

Serena screamed.

The baby was crawling forward.

Without a care in the world, he opened his tiny mouth.

“Baboo~!”

And in the very next instant—

The heavens split open.

Countless spears of dazzling light rained down from the sky, reducing the beastmen soldiers to ashes in the blink of an eye.

The five adventurers stood frozen in disbelief.

“...W-Was that... the baby?”

Meanwhile, scouts from the Demon King’s army had witnessed the entire scene from deep within the forest.

Trembling with terror, they fled back toward the village, shouting as they ran.

“The heroes are invincible! Even their BABY can use magic!”

That baby—who would eventually be given the name Kanata—was no ordinary child.

He was the reincarnation of Selius Grandia, the legendary Hero King who had once saved the world by defeating Bahargate, the Dragon of Calamity.

And within that tiny body slept an unimaginable power.

Level 999.

The ultimate being.

The strongest existence in the world.

And so begins the grand adventure of five heroes and one extraordinary baby—
