Summary

THE EIGHTH VOICE Eight voices. One recording. Seven different memories. Stray Kids arrive at an isolated recording studio for a project that should take only one week. Then they find a recording of themselves saying things they don't remember. As strange messages appear and their memories begin to contradict each other, the eight members realize that someone has been hiding the truth about their visit. But the deeper they investigate, the less they trust one another. Because the recording isn't warning them about someone outside the group. It's warning them about themselves. Some memories are better left unheard. Fictional alternate-universe story. Not a depiction of real events or the real members' private lives.

THE EIGHTH VOICE — Book description

Stray Kids receive an invitation to spend one week at an isolated recording studio to work on a secret musical project. The studio is old, almost completely soundproof, and supposedly hasn't been used in years.

On their first night, they discover a recording already saved on the main computer.

It contains eight familiar voices.

Their own.

The recording lasts exactly six minutes and thirteen seconds. At first, it sounds like an ordinary conversation. Then one voice says:

"If you're listening to this, it means we forgot again."

Nobody remembers making it.

The next morning, strange things begin happening. A door appears in a hallway where there wasn't one before. Messages show up in their handwriting. Recordings contain conversations that none of them remembers having. And each member seems to remember a different version of the previous night.

The worst part?

Every recording suggests that one of the eight is lying.

As suspicion spreads, they begin investigating each other. But the more they uncover, the less they can trust their own memories.

And someone has been deleting the recordings.

My Second Chance

kitkatbar29: So this first book in this series I liked. A good plot that flowed well for the most part with some twists along the way, good well developed characters... there are a few technical mistakes, but nothing to harsh. I must say toward the end of the book there were some issues with like a quick change ...

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
