Uberday Foodlight

Rochester police team force was at a great shape while Jack Smith worked with them. Detective was not particularly talented at solving cases. But his attitude really changed the room every time he entered, people around him feeled motivated to do their job, seeing the contagious enthusiasm in his eyes. He would’ve made a great police chief, but unfortunately he became the main suspect of a murder, which he did not commit. His coworker and friend Montgomery set him up.

Tying him up in a basement with a knife on the floor, knowing that he would escape just in the their colleagues arrive to storage unit. And would find him with the murder weapon, in the same place, as the corpse of a mayor’s daughter. The trial was devastating, and after 2 years he was freed with the lack of the motive, and incosistent evidence.

MY UBER EATS IS HERE GODDAYYYUMMM

I CANNOT CONTINUE I NEED TO BREATHE IN SOME brgr

Okay we can continue now, it’s actually harder than I thought.

----

So basically that guy Jack returned home, but it was empty. Two years of trial and tribulations took the best of him, along with his wife, daughter. Only living soul that stayed with him was a cat named Brgr. After years pass Brgr became very big and started to omnipotently observe the serene scenes of the Rochester river, and Rochester mountains. The dawn and sunset, the brgr and fries. Apparently the cat was a demigod trapped in a body of fluffy animal. Jack didn’t know that and it’s the main reason the story goes like this. 11/21/26 Jack finally reached the 278 words on his Inkitt Wednesday Lamplight sprint, so he was proud of himself, the eight minutes passed so he started to think about what he could write about. And the Idea came. What if he writes about a person, begginner autor as himself, trying to complete the spring challenge on the Inkitt. He laughed, and looked at Brgr. Brgr looked at him with knowing grin. So it goes...

“Bedroom with bright white walls was dimly lit by the lamp on the desk, there was a huge painting of a cat, with piercing eyes in space suit on the wall. The piercing eyes were watching as a young man, appeared seated on his bed, wearing velvet pants, it’s not hygienic, but what he can do? It’s 4:38 minutes left on his writing sprint, and he had to go outside in the middle of it, just to take his uber eats order, which currently remained unopened at his side. He was focused, writing about a detective named Jack Smith, with the cat, that was apparently a god. And Jack is currently trying to become a novelist, so he participates in the writing sprint and writes a story about him!

They both laughed, wondering if the universes they create are really going to appear somewhere in the distant galaxy or maybe multiverse. It would’ve made the moment like this actually hilarious or...

No, he wished this is not possible, the human mind can generate images so horrifying, that imagining this happens somewhere, even in the place that is hidden by the 4th dimension seems cruel to the people living there.

So, they both failed, one minute left, and they only have written 605 words. Atleast Jack has a cat named Brgr, and the guy on the bed has food. So it’s all fair and square. No one needs to be ideal from the first take, even fictional characters or real people, or both when they trying to work together. Peace.

Loved, Loudly

Merrell Bunting: Well written, kind of quiet story, I enjoyed it. I am still a bit perplexed over whether this was a second chance mating story with choosing or completely a chosen mate story. If it is a chosen mate tale it leaves one a bit worried about a fated mate showing up. Either way it was a nice read.
