Chapter 1: Preface

Humanity is no more than a mayfly drifting across the boundless gulfs of cosmic time—infinitesimally small, painfully fleeting.

For eons, we have scoured the starry void for traces left by elder civilizations, desperate for envoys from distant worlds. We sought to prove that the eternal solitude walking alongside us among the stars was not our sole companion. Even knowing that such a discovery might unleash absolute ruin upon our world, we pressed onward without hesitation. This self-destructive urge seemed hardwired into our very DNA: like moths drawn to a cosmic flame, we hurl ourselves forward again and again, until the last spark of life is snuffed out.

It mirrors the inescapable bondage of fate described in ancient doctrines—a yoke humankind can never truly cast off.

Then came the day when a doomed soul unlocked the gateway to other worlds once more, driven by karmic decree. And with that single act, humanity’s tragic endgame was set in motion.

Today, across this eerie, frozen world, the agonizing cries of human despair and the flickering fragments of dying consciousness hang thick in the air. To call this place “Hell on Earth” would be a gross understatement; the God we once prayed to shows not a shred of mercy as He reaps His harvest. Humanity has been reduced to livestock, led like cattle to the slaughter. The process drags on interminably as the entire planet is systematically remade into a global abattoir.

Yet among the countless billions, resilient souls still rise—heroic figures who refuse to surrender to their grim fate, whose will to survive burns unbreakably strong. In a world shrouded in terror and blood, they rekindle the fading spark of hope for humankind. Even if that spark might be extinguished at any moment, they fight on. Miraculously, their struggle was forever inscribed into the ruins of human civilization.

Perhaps these records drifted through the multiverse, finding their way into the very story you hold today. If you have stumbled upon these pages, step forward with us into this grand, tragic epic of unyielding human defiance…
