PAGES OF A BROKEN APOLOGY

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

*Pages of a Broken Apology* by Abdur Rehman Sudais is a poetry collection about love, regret, heartbreak, and the pain of losing someone who once made life meaningful. Through memories of gentle voices, dark eyes, moonlit nights, and falling rain, the poems explore a love that slowly becomes a source of guilt. The speaker confronts his mistakes, the trust he broke, and the words he failed to say when there was still time. As memories turn into confessions, he learns that an apology cannot guarantee forgiveness, nor can regret undo the past. Ultimately, this is a journey of longing, self-reflection, and learning to let go of someone who deserved better. A collection for those who loved deeply, regretted silently, and carried words they could never take back.

BEFORE YOU

Before you, life was quiet and slow,

Before you, the days would come and go.

Before you, the stars were only light,

Before you, nothing felt quite right.

The sun would rise and cross the blue,

And leave the sky without a clue.

The wind would sing through every tree,

And never speak a word to me.

The moon was only cold and far,

Just another silent star.

It crossed the dark with silver hue,

And never carried thoughts of you.

The rain would fall on roof and stone,

And leave the world to drie alone.

Its gentle song meant nothing then,

It simply came and left again.

The flowers bloomed then turned to dust,

And seasons changed because they must.

Their quiet grace escaped my view,

They never looked the way you do.

The roads were full of passing feet,

And countless faces I would meet.

Each smile was gone before the night,

And none remained within my sight.

The books were words on paper so white,

And stories fading out of sight.

No line would stay inside my chest,

No page refused to let me rest.

The sky was wide and deep above,

And never whispered dreams of love.

Its never ending blue was all I knew,

Until it slowly spoke of you.

My heart would beat because it should,

And every day felt understood.

It never reached for something new,

It never knew a soul like you.

I thought this life was all complete,

And every road was whole and neat.

I never knew what life was worth,

Until you softly walked this earth.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

Silver's Second Chance

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
