Summary

Night shifts are exhausting, but are unforgettable. And some… you wish would never end. Empty offices. Empty parking lots. Quiet hospital corridors. Two people who came to work but found themselves wanting something else. A late-night conversation that went a little too far? A doctor and a nurse who can't stop thinking about each other? Or two colleagues who have been hiding their desires for far too long? What really happens when the world sleeps and nobody is watching? 👀 Every night has a story. Some begin with a glance, some with a secret, and some with a choice that changes everything. Night Shifts Pleasures — a collection of adult romance stories by Jay J.K. New stories added every week! Each week brings a new story, a new temptation, and a new reason to stay up a little longer. So, tell me… what do you think happens after hours? 😉

Office work

“You know, if you actually read the footnotes, you’d realize the data is skewed,” riya said, her voice cutting through the silence of the office.

“And if you spent less time analyzing my reading habits and more time on the actual projection, we might actually finish this before midnight,” Ayaan replied without looking up from his monitor.

“Footnotes are where the truth hides, Ayaan . While you’re chasing a deadline, I’m chasing accuracy,” riya countered, leaning over the mahogany desk to point at the screen.

Ayaan finally looked up. His gaze didn’t land on the monitor, but on her. The harsh fluorescent lighting of the office had been dimmed by the onset of evening, leaving them in the warm, amber glow of his desk lamp. For a moment, the biting retort on his tongue vanished, replaced by a sudden, sharp awareness of how close she was standing. He could smell the faint, crisp scent of her perfume, something like citrus and rain which felt entirely out of place in the stale air of a corporate high-rise.

“Accuracy is a virtue, Riya . But obsession is a flaw,” Ayaan said, though the bite was gone from his tone. He didn’t move back; instead, he leaned slightly forward, closing the few inches of space between them.

Riya and Ayaan continue their habitual pattern of professional bickering while working late on a project. However, the tension shifts from intellectual conflict to physical attraction when riya leans in to correct his data, prompting a moment of silent, mutual awareness.

Riya didn’t retreat. She felt the sudden shift in the air, a heavy, electric pull that had nothing to do with the project and everything to do with the way he was looking at her not as an employee who challenged his every move, but as a woman. The silence stretched, no longer tense with irritation, but thick with an unspoken acknowledgment.

“Is that what this is?” riya whispered, her voice losing its professional edge. “An obsession?”

Ayaan ’s gaze dropped to her lips for a fraction of a second before returning to her eyes. “I think we both know the data is skewed, riya. Not just in the report.”

Riya let out a short, breathless laugh that sounded more like a sigh. “And here I thought you were just arrogant. It turns out you’re actually observant.”

“Observant is a polite word for it,” Ayaan murmured. He didn’t break eye contact, his gaze now heavy and deliberate. The professional distance they had meticulously maintained for six months was collapsing, leaving behind a raw, magnetic tension that made the air in the room feel too thin.

Ayaan reached out, his hand hovering for a heartbeat before his fingers grazed the side of her neck. The touch was light, almost tentative, but it sent a jolt through riya that made her breath hitch. The friction of their professional rivalry had always been a mask for this a relentless, simmering energy that neither had known how to channel until now.

The intellectual sparring between riya and Ayaan evolves into a direct acknowledgment of their mutual attraction. As the professional boundaries dissolve, Ayaan initiates physical contact, confirming that their long-standing friction was actually a cover for a deep, simmering romantic tension.

“You’ve spent six months telling me exactly how wrong I am,” Ayaan whispered, his voice dropping an octave, sounding rougher than she had ever heard it.

“And you’ve spent six months trying to prove that you’re always right,” riya breathed, her eyes fluttering shut for a moment as his fingers traced the line of her jaw. “It’s an exhausting habit.”

“Maybe I just wanted to see how long it would take for you to stop arguing and start doing this,” Ayaan murmured. He didn’t wait for a retort this time. He leaned in, closing the final inch of space, and kissed her.

The kiss was not the tentative, questioning riya had expected; it was a collision, an immediate release of six months of stifled frustration and unspoken desire. It tasted of coffee and late-night desperation, a sudden surge of heat that drowned out the hum of the office air conditioning. riya reached up, her fingers tangling in the hair at the nape of Ayaan’s neck, pulling him closer as if to make up for every professional boundary they had ever enforced.

Ayaan groaned low in his throat, his hand sliding from her jaw to the small of her back, hauling her flush against him. The edge of the desk pressed into her hips, a hard, grounding contrast to the dizzying rush of his touch. He broke the kiss for a second, his breath hot against her skin as he trailed a path of biting kisses down the curve of her neck.

The long-standing tension between riya and Ayaan finally breaks when he kisses her, transforming their habit of arguing into a passionate physical encounter. The act is a release of months of suppressed desire, leading them to a state of intense intimacy against the backdrop of the empty office.

riya let out a shaky breath, her head tilting back to give him better access. The world outside the office windows the shimmering skyline of the city and the distant hum of late-night traffic ceased to exist. There was only the friction of his dress shirt against her palms and the rhythmic thrum of her own heart drumming against her ribs. For months, they had played a game of intellectual chess, each move a thinly veiled attempt to get the other’s attention. Now, the game had shifted into something visceral and urgent.

Ayaan ’s hands were no longer tentative. He gripped her waist, lifting her slightly to settle her atop the desk. A stack of reports slid to the floor with a dull thud, but neither of them cared. He stepped deeper into her space, his thighs brushing against her legs, claiming the territory they had spent half a year defending. When he returned to her lips, the kiss was deeper, more demanding, mirroring the intensity of their arguments.

Riya’s hands wandered from his neck to the buttons of his shirt, her fingers clumsy with haste. She popped the top two, needing to feel the heat of his skin beneath the crisp cotton. As she did, Ayaan ’s breath hitched, and he shifted his weight, pressing her further back against the desk. The cool surface of the wood against her thighs contrasted sharply with the searing warmth of his palms, which had migrated from her waist to the tops of her legs.

“You’re incredibly distracting,” he murmured against her skin, his voice a low rumble that she felt in her chest.

“And you’re a terrible influence,” riya countered, her voice breathless and strained. She arched her back, pulling him closer still, her nails digging slightly into the fabric of his shoulders. The air between them was thick, saturated with the kind of tension that only comes from months of pretending that a professional rivalry isn’t actually a romantic obsession.

Ayaan didn’t respond with words. Instead, he slid one hand up from her thigh, his palm grazing the skin of her hip, and gripped her waist with a firm, possessive pressure. He shifted his stance, partitioning her against the desk, and buried his face in the crook of her shoulder. He took a deep, shuddering breath, as if he were finally admitting to himself that she was right about everything or perhaps just admitting that he couldn’t stand the distance between them for another second.

Riya shifted her weight, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist to pull him even closer. The sudden movement caused a stray pen to roll across the desk surface and clatter to the floor, but the sound was distant, irrelevant. Everything that mattered was concentrated in the few inches of space where their bodies met. She could feel the rapid thrum of his heart against her chest, a frantic rhythm that mirrored her own, shattering the image of the composed, untouchable executive he maintained during the day.

Ayaan’s hands traveled upward, gripping the edge of the desk on either side of her, effectively boxing her in. He paused for a heartbeat, his forehead resting against hers, both of them breathing heavily in the dim light. The silence of the office had shifted from oppressive to intimate.

“I can’t believe we actually waited six months to do this,” Ayaan murmured, his voice sounding raw, stripped of its usual authoritative polish.

Riya let out a soft, shaky laugh, her fingers tracing the line of his collar. “We were too busy proving each other wrong. It’s a very efficient way of flirting.”

“Efficiency is overrated,” Ayaan murmured, his voice dropping into a low, commanding register that made riya ’s stomach flip.

He didn’t give her time to respond. His hands moved with a sudden, decisive urgency, sliding from the desk to the hem of her silk blouse. The friction of the fabric against her skin felt amplified in the silence of the office. Riya let out a soft, shaky exhale as he guided the garment up and off her shoulders, the cool air of the room hitting her skin for only a second before his warmth returned to claim the space.

Ayaan’s palms grazed the undersides of her breasts, lifting her slightly as he sought a deeper connection. Through the thin lace of her bra, her nipples were hard, tight peaks that reacted instantly to the sudden chill and the heat of his gaze. He paused for a second, his eyes roaming over the swell of her chest, admiring the way her breath came in shallow, jagged hitches that made her breasts heave.

The dim amber light of the office caught the pale curve of her skin and the deep, flushed pink of her areolae. Ayaan reached out, his thumb circling one dark, erect nipple, teasing it with a slow, deliberate pressure that made Riya arch her back and gasp into the quiet of the room.

Ayaan didn’t stop there. He leaned forward, his mouth replacing his thumb, capturing her nipple in a warm, wet pull that sent a jolt of electricity straight to riya’s core. She gripped his shoulders, her nails digging into the fabric of his shirt, her head falling back against the desk. The sensation was overwhelming, a sharp, focused pleasure that made her world narrow down to the point where his lips met her skin.

“You have no idea,” he murmured against her breast, his voice a low, vibrating growl, “how many times I’ve imagined this while you were lecturing me on quarterly projections.”

Riya let out a sound that was half-laugh, half-moan, her fingers tangling in his hair to pull him closer. “Only the projections? I’m offended, Ayaan .

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
