Introduction
It's nothing special, just a normal day in Antwerp, the port city of Belgium. 1914. All of a sudden, the peace of this usually bustling town in the north of Belgium gets interrupted by the sounds of gunfire, weapons firing, and the screams of soldiers from both sides. You, an 18-year-old Belgian boy, have no idea that the Germans are closing in on not just Antwerp but the entirety of Belgium. Intrigued, you look outside your window. Soldiers in familiar uniforms, the ones you learned about in school. It couldn't be anything else. The Germans are here. You quickly warn your parents, but they call you delusional, telling you to study for your test. But it isn't until the sounds of gunfire reach your parents' ears. Then they finally realize the danger, but it's too late. The Germans have found you. Game over… right? Not quite.
