Chapter 1: Hired

"You're hired as the personal bodyguard of Boranat Rattanawong."

"Thank you, Mr. P'Tha, for this information," someone answered with a sweet giggling voice.

Call ended.

With wet hair, someone enters a white-pink room. He opens the wardrobe and picks a bodyguard suit.

After minutes of getting ready, he finally looks at himself in the mirror. A sweet calm face with a mischievous smile, he kisses his own reflection and takes the badge, pinning it to his suit.

'Personal Bodyguard of Boranat Rattanawong' written in bold on the badge. And his name 'OAK' written below.

Oak sets his beautiful brown hair, wears his watch, and walks out of his apartment.

Rattanawong's Main Mansion:

A white room filled with white flowers and curtains. A tall muscular figure sits on a chair. The room is filled with silence. He starts tapping his fingers on the table.

The room door opens... A bodyguard enters.

"Boss, this is the file you ordered," the bodyguard says.

"Place it on the table," a cold voice says.

Roadside:

Oak is waiting for the car while looking at his watch.

"Damn! It's too late," he says to himself.

After seconds, a black car stops in front of him. The door opens and an old figure gets out.

At first, Oak just glances at that man, but after seconds he realizes who he is.

"Mr. P'Tha!!!!" Oak screams.

"Ahh, Mr. Oak, don't scream like that. You're a bodyguard, you have to be calm," Mr. P'Tha says politely.

"Sorry, sir," Oak bows.

"Ahem, okay, Mr. Oak, I know you are a little bit nervous and excited too, but don't do that in front of Khun Bright." Oak nods.

Oak and Mr. P'Tha get in the car. The car stops in front of the mansion's gate.

"This is Khun Bright's main mansion," P'Tha says. Oak nods with a smile.

"Mr. Oak, I got an order from Khun Bright to introduce you to all staff members, maids, and your bodyguard team."

"Sure, Mr. P'Tha," Oak smiles again.

They enter the mansion. Oak looks around — it's full of flowers and a fountain.

"Wow!" Oak says to himself. P'Tha looks at Oak and smiles.

Two maids come out and bow to P'Tha. "Good morning, Mr. P'Tha!"

"Morning," P'Tha says. "Good morning, Mr. Oak," the maids smile at Oak.

"Morning," Oak smiles.

"Oak, this is Pa Som and Pa Malee. They are brilliant maids. If Khun Bright wants to eat something, ask them."

"Sure," Oak giggles.

"Pa Som, Pa Malee, this is Khun Bright's new personal bodyguard, Mr. Oak. You both have to follow his order."

"Sure, P'Tha."

P'Tha gets busy with maids... Oak starts walking straight to find Khun Bright's room. Suddenly his foot slips on something and he falls.

"Ahhh aiya!" Oak screams.

At that moment, he hears walking steps with cold vibes from his back. Then a cold deep voice behind him.

"It seems like I have to take care of you."

Oak glances back, sees a tall figure and black shoes.

"Are you gonna be like this?" Again, deep voice.

Oak's smile fades. He stands up.

That cold figure comes closer. Oak feels his gaze. He just takes a glance and lowers his head, able to see only his feet.

"Good morning, boss," Oak's hands tremble.

(Oak now knows the guy in front of him is his boss, Khun Bright).

"Today is your first day. Behave well," Khun Bright looks at Oak.

One bodyguard behind Khun Bright looks at Oak and giggles. Other bodyguards look at him.

Khun Bright turns his head slightly. "Let's go."

Oak follows Khun Bright, walking beside him. They reach the mansion gate.

P'Tha looks at Khun Bright and comes towards him. "Good morning, Khun Bright."

"Morning," Khun Bright says.

A bodyguard opens the main door. Khun Bright gets in the car.

Oak looks here and there, having no idea where to sit.

"Oak, sit here with me," Khun Bright says.

Oak still trembles.

P'Tha signs him to sit with Khun Bright.

"Sure, boss," Oak says. P'Tha gets in too.
