Chapter 1
TRAPPED WITH THE BAD BOY HEIR
CHAPTER ONE
The Witness
The night air was freezing, biting through Maya’s thin Cardigan as she walked down the empty street.
It was nearly midnight.
She had just finished buying a small bowl of hot street noodles from a vendor two blocks away from her new apartment...
Maya was an eighteen-year-old freshman who had just moved to the city to attend university.
She was a gentle, quiet girl who kept her head down and avoided trouble at all costs.
She didn't care about partying..... high society.........rich kids etc....
Her only goal was to get good grades, keep her scholarship, and live a peaceful life.🙌🏻
However, beneath her quiet nature, Maya was surprisingly stubborn,, she's very stubborn that no one could easily convince her 😃
She had a strong sense of right and wrong, and she was not the type of girl who easily backed down when pushed into a corner, especially when she knew she is right
The street was unusually quiet. The broken streetlights flickered overhead, casting long, twisted shadows against the brick walls.
Maya held her warm bowl of noodles close to her chest and quickened her pace, eager to get back inside her locked room...it's her first night in an unknown street.....
Suddenly, a dull, heavy noise echoed from a narrow alleyway between two abandoned buildings.....
THUD!
Maya stopped dead in her tracks.
Her heart gave a sharp, violent thud against her ribs.
"P-Please... I beg you... I'll give you everything I have! Just don't kill me!" a man’s frantic voice shrieked from the dark shadow The voice was filled with pure, breathless panic.
"You talk too much," a cold, deep, smooth voice replied.
The voice did not sound human.
It was deep, completely empty of emotion, and cut through the freezing night air like a razor blade.
It was a voice that belonged to someone who felt no pity, no regret, and no fear.
Maya’s instinct told her to run. Every cell in her body screamed at her to turn around and sprint as fast as she could.
But her stubborn curiosity held her hostage. Instead of turning back, she took slow, silent steps toward the opening of the dark alley.
She shrank behind a massive, rusted metal dumpster, holding her breath, and peeked around the sharp corner.
What she saw made her blood turn to solid ice.
Standing under the single dim light at the end of the alley was a tall, imposing figure.
It was REN VENCE!!!!.😎😎
Even in the pitch-black darkness, his presence was overwhelming.
He wore an expensive dark leather jacket, tailored pants, and heavy boots.
His thick black hair fell slightly over his sharp, handsome face, but his dark eyes were completely dead Void of any light or soul.
Ren was known across the city as the sole heir to the multi-billion-dollar VANCE Empire, but in the underworld, he was a ruthless monster. He was arrogant, untouchable, and lethal.
He lived above the law, moving like a ghost who controlled people's lives with a single snap of his fingers😎
Right now, a middle-aged man was on his knees before him, covered in dirt and sweat, trembling so hard he could barely stay upright.
Ren didn't say a word.
He didn't raise his voice or show any anger. He simply stepped forward, his heavy boots crushing the broken glass on the pavement. With a slow, effortless movement, Ren raised a thick metal pipe in his hand.
"Wait—!" the man gasped.
CRACK!
The sound was horrifying. The heavy metal struck the man’s head with brutal, absolute force.(gun shot)
The man collapsed instantly onto the cold concrete, motionless.
A dark pool of blood began to seep out from under him, spreading across the wet ground. Ren stood over the body, his chest rising and falling slowly. He didn't flinch.
He didn't check for a pulse.
He simply tossed the blood-stained pipe aside, letting it clatter loudly against the brick wall.
Maya covered her mouth with both trembling hands, her eyes wide with total shock.
Teardrops of horror welled up in her eyes. He just killed him. He actually killed a man right in front of me!
Her body trembled so violently that her knees nearly gave out.
Shaking uncontrollably, Maya reached into her sweater pocket and pulled out her cell phone.
Her fingers were so cold and terrified that she could barely hold the glass screen. She needed proof.
She needed something to protect herself if this monster ever came after her.
With shaking hands, she lifted the phone and aimed the camera at the terrifying scene.
CLICK!
A blinding white flash exploded in the dark alley.
The sudden light illuminated the entire dark space for a split second, taking a crystal-clear photo of the dead body and Ren’s blood-stained hand.
Maya’s heart stopped. The flash... oh no!
Instantly, Ren’s head snapped toward the dumpster
His jet-black eyes, cold and sharp as a predator's, locked directly onto the exact spot where Maya was hiding.
There was no confusion in his gaze. He moved with frightening speed, turning his massive frame toward her with the quiet grace of a hunting wolf.
Maya didn't waste a single second. Terror flooded her veins like electricity.
She shoved her phone into her pocket, dropped her bowl of noodles onto the ground, and turned around to sprint.
"거기서 멈춰!" (Stop right there)
Ren’s dangerous voice boomed behind her.
Maya ignored him and ran with everything she had.
Her shoes slapped loudly against the wet pavement as she dashed into the winding, dark streets.
She didn't look back. She took wild, sharp turns through the dark side streets, her lungs burning for air, her heart pounding violently against her chest like a trapped bird.
Back at the mouth of the alley, Ren did not chase her right away.
He stood still under the flickering streetlight, watching her small figure disappear into the dark night.
As she ran under the faint glow of the distant streetlamp, the dim light caught her face clearly for a moment—her soft features, her wide, terrified eyes, and the silver university scholarship badge pinned to her chest.
Ren reached down and picked up the small plastic bowl she had dropped in her panic.
He looked at the noodles, then looked up at the empty street where she had vanished.
A slow, terrifying smirk spread across his handsome, ruthless face.
His dark eyes glinted with a wicked, evil light.
"A scholarship girl..." Ren whispered softly into the freezing wind, his voice dripping with pure danger.
"Run all you want, little girl. I know exactly where to find you."........
