Loud music, bright lights, wafting scents of over expensive sweets. Constant chatter of people all over. That's all an amusement park is about. OK, Fair, rides too. Nobody can be depressed around an amusement park...unless you're emo....
Yells of joy carried out in the atmosphere. Obviously, night time was the best part of the day to visit it. Who even bothers to step out in the sun? Same with these four dudes. Four grown ass men, mid twenties. The same age where every woman feels out of league. Do women like socially awkward men?
The comedic part is that Gen-Z today lie on their beds in the dark thinking about their possible soulmate while these pesky young Gen-Alphas rock with a minimum of four bitches. Okay, that was rude but still! Where grown ass people fold before the opposite gender, these little rascals play their chance.
Yup, currently walking by is the fourth young couple. Arm in arm and happy. Barely thirteen. How humiliating.
"Urgh." Cole groaned dramatically, as he watched a girl feed cotton candy to her boyfriend.
Malum patted his shoulder, "Get used to it bud." he said, as though it would help in any way.
"They are barely teens!" he exclaimed, "look at us grown asses, women don't even glance our way."
"I'm good!" chimed in Nico, whose hair resembled a startled porcupine, "I'm the youngest here. And a girl liked my story on Instagram." he grinned stupidly.
Everyone has an era where they act stupid while thinking they do the coolest shit. Most grow out of it in late teens. But for Nico, it was way long and probably was going to stick around. Dressing was...Lets not comment on his dressing, let's think positive! Nico is good in...Never mind.
"Twenty three and unemployed, and that 'girl' has a boyfriend." Malum said, who had already accomplished his goal as a bank clerk. Definitely better than living in your parents' garage.
"Oh thank you, I totally forgot." Nico said sarcastically, rolling his eyes like a spoiled teenage girl, "Mr. Employed"
Malum grinned even more idiotically. Ryder just hovered behind.
There is ONE guy in every group who stays secluded from all the nonsense. Always the smartest. Nico stopped and looked behind.
"Yo, walk faster!" he called.
Ryder shrugged nonchalantly and caught up. "This is a waste of time." he muttered. He was 24 and still studying for the Civil Services exam. He had one last attempt left, having failed thrice already.
"Come on, get a break from your books." Malum said casually, "You'll explode"
"No thanks," replied Ryder coolly, "I'd rather get a good post."
Ryder was then caught up thinking how many notes he could have revised. This time he was going to pass and no one would stop him.
"Guys remember the plan?", Malum said.
Ryder looked up.
