Prologue
Regardless of our own taste, everyone has their own unique one. Does this apply to everyone? Yes, it does. Even if you try to have the same taste as someone; even if you copy the other person's taste, it doesn't mean you have the same taste as them. If you have one taste in common, it doesn't mean you have something else in common at all.
What was I referring to? I, Liu Yi, have been in love with this one person for more then 10 years. I have been trying my best to do what he did, made sacrifices for him, satisfied his needs, even just living. All this time, everything was done for him, and only him.
What I wanted was for him-him whom I loved, him whom I admired, and him whom I have been pouring my whole life for-to at least glance my way once. To at least live within my reach. To at least be my friend.
Was it something so impossible? Was it wrong to have desire... and hope? Was it impossible to desire more? No, I didn't think so. Because people are greedy. If you wished for one thing, you would have another desire above that, and that was exactly my feelings. My heart was pounding for... for that little hope.
However, whatever I did was just a bad intention in his eyes; an evil greed, a... devilish deed.
Maybe I should have let that feeling go? And continue my own life alongside someone else? Or should I have just given up my life long ago, before I met him?
No, there was no solution that I could have chosen, and be confident that I wouldn't regret my choice, other than this one. That was why, I was here, being glared at by that person-the one I loved the most.
Did I feel sad? No. No, I had no intention of feeling sad, regretful or wanting revenge at that point. All I felt was happiness. Because finally, he looked at me straight in the eyes.
About cultivators|cultivation
Cultivators. ''Cultivator'' comes from the word ''cultivation''. Cultivators are material and spiritual users. As for what they use it... etc, I'll explain about it to everyone below.
There are five elements that every child possesses from birth. Those elements are: air, fire, sound, healing and spiritual control.
Air, Fire and Sound elements can be used on any weapon, or without a weapon, as long as that thing\object can be moved. For example, you can focus your energy on your hand and wave it, or use a sword to focus your energy on and wave it on someone\something.
As for the Healing element, it can only be used with plants, such as by using the lifespan of one plant to help a person or an animal. More importantly, you can only use plants to heal one single wound or injury, but you cannot revive oneself such as by healing them from a corpse back to a normal person again at all. Note that if you do, the corpse won't be a corpse or a person anymore, but just a living zombie. And lastly, you can't heal anyone without using plants, because if you do, your life will be shortened little by little depending on the injury or wound that you have to heal.
Spiritual control. Out of the five elements, this one isn't qualified enough to count as an element at all. Because this power needs people who can think twice before they use it. So all the masters\grandmasters try really hard to teach everyone to have good control, be brave and thoughtful, as this element is special.
We separated this element into 3 types:
First, you can use it to control people or animals' souls. To do so, you have to take their souls out, which will make them soulless or dead. You can put their souls back in afterwards, but there is a time limit for that.
Second, you can control any corpse to abbey your commands, but it may not be under your control if your energy isn't enough and backfire on you instead.
And third, you can use it to control on one mind to abbey your orders. It is one of the best methods, but in order to control one mind, you have to use a lot of energy. Therefore, it can only be used once a day, on one person each time, and not for too long (30 minutes to 1 hour).
Each element has one Leader that everyone calls ''Sect Leader''. We will talk about them in later chapters.
We also separated each element into one sect.
Ranking system of cultivators:
1. Divine God (Legendary and have one person in this rank so far)
2. Ancestor (Really rare)
3. Grandmaster (Rare)
4. Master (Common)
5. Students or cultivators who have studied under a Master\Grandmaster. (Super common-too many to count)
All the other cultivators are just disciples in each sect. If they pass the exam, they can become a Master. But there are few people that can pass it because of the strictness and toughness of every exam in each sect. There are also some people who study in the sect all their lives, but still fail.
Finally, if you are wondering if this story will have immortality or something like living along life, then don't think anymore. This story will focus on cultivation\material art without fail. Don't think about immortal things. Also, all cultivators have to learn material art in order to be powerful and pass the exam.
