Summary

Aitana Ramirez’s artistic talent has carried her through college, but as graduation draws closer, she’s running out of time... and inspiration. For one of her final and most important projects, Aitana has been tasked with creating a piece centered around first love and relationships. There’s just one problem: she’s never been in one. Her unwaveringly avoidant nature makes getting close to anyone nearly impossible, so she’s spent years experiencing romance vicariously through movies, TV shows, and books. Usually, that’s enough. But this time, it isn’t. Her project will determine when she can graduate, and inspiration isn’t exactly knocking on her door. Until Danilo Ruiz does. The same Danilo Ruiz she swore she’d never have to see again. Now he’s her upstairs neighbor, and despite Aitana’s best efforts, he keeps finding his way into her life, and making it increasingly difficult to remember why she ever wanted him out of it. With her deadline closing in, Aitana has two choices: swallow her pride and use Danilo as the inspiration for her project, or push away his attempts at friendship and find another source before her graduation slips out of reach. Falling for him was never part of the plan. Then again, neither was Danilo Ruiz. -- “Ramirez!” Danilo shouted from his balcony as I struggled to pedal the damn bike with my shoelaces untied. I didn’t need another second of him right now. “You’re gonna make me fall for you if you keep running away like that!” He laughed at his own annoying remark. And just like that, the little bit of luck I’d been holding onto slipped right out of my hands. Or, rather, my feet. My shoelace caught on the pedal and I went tumbling straight onto the pavement, along with the last shred of pride I had left.

Dedication

First loves are sweet, thrilling, nerve-wracking, and even messy. They're blind, impulsive, naïve, and full of surprises.

But you can't forget them. Even if they don't last forever, they leave the biggest impact and the biggest lessons.

This book is dedicated to all those firsts... the first hand hold, the first kiss, and the first heartbreak.

But it is also dedicated to those things yet to come and to the ones patiently waiting.

Enjoy xx
