Useful terminology .
This story will contain terminology from the omegaverse as well...
Alphas: in most groups of species, alphas are the most dominant group. Amongst werewolves there are more various types of alphas. Pack Alphas are town leaders and the Head Alpha is in charge of all the pack in their country. With dragon bloods, recessive alphas are more submissive than dominant alphas.
Omegas: a trait of secondary gender that signifies submissiveness and the ability to give birth. Highly fertile and are rare in other groups of species.
Betas: Betas are Lycans born without the ability to emit pheromones and don't have heats or ruts.
Enigma: this trait is only available amongst dragon bloods. It is a genetic trait even more dominant than the alpha trait and is very rare. If anything, it's currently nonexistent as far as people know.
Dragon blood: the pure blooded, noble families in Frost Hills that once had the ability to shift into dragons.
Dragon-shift: a transformation that dragon bloods go through where they go from being alphas to enigmas and can fully shift into a dragon.
Ghoul: believed to be a demon-like shift that can only be achieved by dark fae and are particularly difficult to kill.
