Chapter 1
The door creaked as it opened into a dimly lit room. A youthful man called out.
“Hello?”
The young man looked around the room. Then he spotted the person he was looking for. Well, his chair at least.
“Ah, Mr. Coreur, there you are.”
Mr. Coreur turned his chair slowly. Edward could see his sharp suit that complemented his reasonably average build. Mr. Coreur was a well-respected private detective though his office was hard to find due to it constantly changing places. But this man had somehow found it. ‘How’ was not the question, ‘Why’ was. Mr. Coreur looked the man dead in the eyes as if he could find out his reasoning just with the sharp look. After a minute to be exact, the private detective spoke. “Hello sir, why have you come to see me?” The young man’s voice fluttered with nervousness
“I- uh, I need your help, your services.”
The private detective took a quick glare at him and put his hand over his forehead, slightly annoyed as he spoke.
“Sir, what is your name?”
“E-edward.”
“Well...Edward, I had assumed you needed my services if you came to me.”
“Oh, yes Mr. Coreur I’m so sorry. I didn’t think of that.”
Edward looked around 27, he was toned, had short, curly, brown hair, round glasses, a few freckles, a lanky build, warm sepia skin with a neutral undertone, and icy blue eyes.
“It’s alright, now sit.”
The private detective’s arm ushered him to the two leather chairs in front of his desk, even though he only let one client go in at a time.
“Your legs might get hurt for standing too long, I don’t want to get sued for that. So, how can I help you?”
