Chapter 1: The Blue Samaritan

My name is Brendan Fox and I’m a superhero.

Years Ago

I was always reading comic books my entire life, I remember when I was 8 years old, my brother Jack wanted me to clean out his room when he was heading to college, we found a lot of old items and a small brown box. I open it it was all the heroes you would imagine, Superman and all the others.

I always dream of being a super powered person.

PRESENT DAY

Today I’m a psychologist. Talking to all my patients. They tell me all kinds of thinks. I would take out a Ben from a plastic cup full of them and take out my note pad to tell them what was on their minds. Until one day I man name Shaun was saying he had powers I didn’t want to be read and I knew I would have a field day with this kind of patient.

But then all of a sudden I heard his voice, his voice was in my head, I heard him in my thoughts and I started to panic and run.

I ran so much I was outside the build I was working at and I saw in the corner in my eye, a truck was about to hit me, I froze with fear and the truck did in fact hit me, but I broke the truck when it collided with me.

I realized all the thing I was reading as a child was just me future without realizing it. I was a hero.

I was born to be a super hero to save lives.

Ren: The storyline is great! The author has built a rich and compelling world, I really like the elemental powers and how those apply in combat. Sometimes there are situations where I wonder why the characters don't use their powers in more practical ways outside of combat, like why doesn't Ross use his ...

Heika van Walderveen: I had to get used to the style. It’s a lot of switching and getting back into the story of the characters. Also the different timelines were a bit confusing in the beginning. But once you’re used to it, it’s really quite original. The plot is good, but it’s only book 1 (out of 3), but so far so good...
