Summary

Evan is second-in-command of Slasher’s Motorcycle Club—a place where blood runs easy and loyalty is everything. After years in the life, he’s earned the name Knife—sharp, silent, and lethal. He doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t do emotions. Not anymore. There’s no room for softness in his world. And he’s learned to keep his blade—and his heart—cold. Then Ada came to town. The new bookshop owner. Quiet, gentle, the kind of person who says please and thank you and actually means it. She moves like she doesn’t want to take up space, like kindness is just her nature. There’s an innocence to her—something fragile and magnetic—and it makes people want to protect her, and Evan’s no exception. What he doesn’t see is how carefully she wears that softness. How easily people trust her, how quickly they talk, how little she gives away in return. When their paths cross, something clicks. A connection neither of them can explain. Then the accidents begin. One by one. Too close together. Too calculated, too close together to be a coincidence. Old secrets begin to surface, and the ground beneath Slasher MC begins to shift. And in the middle of it all—wrapped in soft smiles and hidden truths—is Ada.

Prologue(Ada) : This Ends Now

Some things in life rot slowly, hidden beneath layers of routine and silence. But eventually, the stench rises—undeniable, choking. And when it does, we tear those things out by the roots, first thing in the morning, like weeds threatening to choke what little good remains.

I used to wish my thirst for revenge had died. I begged for it to wither, to leave me hollow and clean. Not because they didn’t deserve everything coming to them—they did, every last one of them—but because I knew the truth. Vengeance is a fire that doesn’t just burn the guilty. It devours the one who carries it. And I’ve been smoldering for years.

I had chances to walk away. Real chances. But every time I got close, I’d hear her—her voice, her screams. I couldn’t pretend anymore. I couldn’t unhear it. And so I stayed. I kept going. I kept getting pulled deeper in.

And now, it’s too late to change anything. I’ll carry this with me for the rest of my life. Every hour. Every breath.

The love I spent years looking for, the one thing I thought I finally found... It’s still here, technically. But it’s not alive anymore. It doesn’t speak. It doesn’t hold me the same. It just sits there between us—cold, ruined, unreachable.

And I can feel it dying inside me. In both of us.

So now here I am. Standing in front of the main door of Slasher MC.

And I know what I have to do.

This Ends Now.
