Chapter 1

1- Nerves

Angel’s diary 11/21/2015

This diary thing has become like our family’s “thing”. It’s weird, but I guess it’s kinda cool to have something that all of my family members do. They started using diaries/journals before I was born because a teacher made them do it as an assignment. My family found it useful, so they stuck with it, and now here I am following in the tradition.

What else am I supposed to do with this diary? I can’t just toss it because Tio (uncle) Jason and my compadre (godfather) Luke gave it to me as part of my birthday gift.

It’s me, the infamous Angel, who is a 13-year-old werewolf with magical abilities, but I haven’t been able to master my magic yet. Luke told me that it’s easier to learn once I’m able to shift, so I can learn to use magic in both human and werewolf forms.

I’m so nervous about trying to shift during the full moon tonight, but Alex and Christian are all excited since they have tried to shift once they turned 13, but their wolves weren’t ready yet. Cynthia had the same issue when trying before, but she’s just as nervous as I am.

Everyone is wondering what color fur we’ll all have. Mom and Dad tell me that I’ll be a beautiful wolf regardless of my coloring and size, but part of me thinks that they’re just saying that because they’re my parents, so they must feel like they have to say it.

Ugh! these butt heads are calling my name from outside. Why are boys so loud? They’re so lucky my dad isn’t home right now.

Christian may be family, and Alex is my godbrother, but that doesn’t stop Dad from being overprotective. Whenever dad tries to act overprotective unnecessarily, mom scolds him because she went through it with my granddad and uncle. It’s always funny when Dad pouts when Mom tries to stop him.

Omg, they keep yelling my name smh.
