"Another amazing read from Nina, but at this point, did I expect anything less? This one is DARK. Intense, messed up, heartbreaking, and twisted in ways that had me questioning what the hell I was reading more than once. Nina’s books are easily some of the darkest romances I’ve ever picked up. Normally, this level of dark isn’t really my thing, but she’s somehow the exception every single time. I trust her enough that she could probably write the most unhinged plot imaginable and I’d still be there reading it. At this point, if Nina writes it, I’m reading it. No questions asked. She somehow manages to make you addicted to dark romance even when you usually prefer something a little less... traumatizing. And the characters!! They’re never simple. They’re complicated, damaged, deeply flawed, carrying a lot of baggage, and sometimes making choices that have you wondering why you’re even rooting for them. And then somehow you end up completely attached to them anyway. The storytelling was incredible, the plot had me hooked, and there were so many moments that genuinely hurt to read. Thankfully, Nina never forgets to give us that HEA, because after everything she drags her characters AND her readers through, we freaking deserve it. Absolutely loved this one. Dark, brutal, emotional, completely addictive, and another reminder that I’ll pretty much read anything Nina writes at this point. "

It takes you into the darkessed form of conditioning, and you have to keep an open mind to be able to see the strength and growth that comes out of it! But I absolutely loved it. I've worked with so many depressed and suicidal people, and I believe that some suffering and pain is still better than not living. Everyone's path, and door, to live is unique and this book has captivated just that for me! Congratulations to the author for creating such an amazing trauma and healing narrative!"

"I kept stalling each time I navigated back to this one. But, I had faith in the author and figured I could read so far and see how the story went. Nina has forewarned readers that it will be a tough one. However, I can say that even though I found some parts a tad distressing, I am very happy with having read the entire book. It is a story about two broken people who somehow fall in love with each other and along the way they mend some of that brokenness. It is high tension throughout. It is heart breaking, there is harsh treatment and emotional cruelty. Then the caring filters through and trust begins. In the background, the villainous brother who will attempt to ruin it all. Will the couple survive? What a provoking storyline that brings forth those feelings of angst, sadness, shock, joy and the fight for survival. Fantastic story!"

The only issue with this is i was reading it before it was finished and I sulked for the whole day until I got to read more. This was very well written and the story messed with my emotions a bit we'll say. "I had so many emotions reading this, Nina Brooke me but put me back together by the last chapters, The MFL Stevie & the MML Micah, I liked them from the start maybe because of his love for his dogs ( what appealed to me) Some were hard to read at first, then I realised they were both broken in way but their connection was undeniable and the suspense kept me desperate for each chapter right till the last word. I think we're all a little broken in our own way, most just don't admit it, but Micah put Stevie back together like a Jigsaw, it's was just perfect and I will defo read this again. Thanks Nina you are truly gifted, love the way you write."
