"Plot I can't tell you how much I LOVED the fake relationship section, I was bought in - a 5 star section. I enjoyed the flirting, teasing and opening up. The use of social media felt real. Didn't really enjoy the love triangle section - though it's not generally a trope I enjoy, the circumstances leading to this one made you wonder why Allie would entertain the rival for her affections. Then there's a third story arc which had potential for ups and downs, but was finished off more quickly. I'd have preferred more of that external obstacle and less love triangle. The book is really long. I wondered if it should be a trilogy for each story arc? There were a lot of steamy sex scenes, there's no denying this couple has chemistry! ⚡ I think the author writes them well. Some of these moved the story forward and showed how much their love was growing/how much they missed eachother. But there were maybe too many? 😱 I would have liked to see them having fun with their clothes on a bit more as well. I think a relationship needs friendship and not only physical intimacy. Characters Tyler is delicious. I'm on his team all the way. I don't know why he's the "unstable choice" just because he's got a couple of tattoos? Is he supposed to have a reputation for brawling before it's Allie he's fighting over? Allie can pull off the cool exterior, but is a bit all over the place inside. She gets herself into a right mess and puts both of them through a lot of heartache. I felt like there was a bit too much heartache by one point. It could have been the time elapsed since I read the first section, but in the later sections of the book, I felt like their characters narrowed to just their romance and not their wider lives or other character traits. I forgot who they were as individuals, they just became people who were hurting. Love Marley and Lauren - great friends. Writing I enjoyed the writing, eg the way the atmosphere took on personal characteristics. There were a few phrases that were peppered throughout the book like things being for "the first time", and what really "mattered", I'm not sure if they were used too much? I will read more from this author, but probably not go for a love triangle next time."
