"A story that was a pleasure to read. A planned joining, matched by bloodline is sabotaged cruelly at the last minute by the groom Prince Maddox rejecting his bride, Ivy. She is left standing at the altar bewildered and humiliated. To avoid dire consequences before the moonset, a joining must occur with Maddox blood and so the Prince names his Uncle, War Alpha Roman to be joined with Ivy. Talk about being thrown in the deep end without warning!! The story then follows Ivy and Roman as they navigate their new and unexpected relationship. Ivy, with Roman's guidance and respect, will undergo a transformation from a shy and timid Ivy Brooks to a strong and confident Luna Ivy Maddox. It is a slow burn romance that develops into a bonded love. All whilst they are investigating medical supply losses, monitoring the unusual marking Ivy sustains from their joining, wagon convoys being attacked, villages raided and a question mark over Ivy's actual bloodline. Lots of tension, suspense and betrayal along with plenty of humorous banter in Roman's circle. Interesting characters and a plot that is well thought out and delivered expertly. "

"Très belle histoire qui réussit à nous plonger dans les tracasseries politiques d’une royaume, sans perdre l’histoire d’amour. Petit à petit, l’invisible Ivy devient puissante et digne de l’amour du sombre Roman. Lui même reste un fort et honnête souverain. C’est d’autant plus beau que les personnages secondaires sont dépeints comme des personnages de film. Pendant la lecture je me suis crue dans la cour du Nord. Bravo !"

"I enjoyed reading this story. My attention span veers towards stories that contain 50 or less chapters depending on the length of the chapters. There's something to be said for somewhat immediate gratification. This storyline is engaging. The pacing seemed to flow smoothly. Characters were not two-dimensional and had consistent development throughout. I appreciated the layering of the sub-plot arcs and the varying peaks and valleys that were woven into the story. Also, the conclusion had a thoughtful and timely build-up. The story didn't try to tie up ongoing "open events" into nice, neat conclusive packages in the last five chapters in order to make the story complete. Thank you for sharing a good story and for providing some enjoyable escapism!!"

"I liked the story a lot. The humor was great. It was wonderful to see the heroine go from being timid to coming into her own with support from her partner. I also liked the supporting characters, especially Nora and Dane. All in all, a really good book."

I felt empathy for Ivy from the first few pages, and I was glad to see her evolve into a strong and confident woman. I also liked that Roman was supportive rather than arrogant and dominant as many alphas are portrayed in this genre. The plot kept me interested right up to the last page."
