Chapter 1
Savannah’s POV
There is nothing better than coming home as myself and having my heart be fixed, the day he saw me he knew his life was going to end soon enough. I didn’t even have to pull the trigger when the time came, but the look of betrayal on his face was priceless. He honestly thought he was going to win, the only problem with his ego was he never factored me into the equation. I told him the day I died “Remember Enzo, you did this all of it,” I will make sure that’s the last thing he remembers.
…. One year before ….
Sirena’s (Savannah) POV
Rico introduces me “Everyone this is mia figlia (My daughter), Sirena.” I can’t help the smirk that is on my face as everyone but my parents and everyone I was on the plane with look at me confused. Nora looks at me then at Rico, she then turns to Morgan and back to us.
Morgans mother says to nobody in particular “She looks just like, no it’s impossible.” Morgans father says nothing for a minute clearly observing, Morgan comes over and takes my hand in his and his family don’t miss the action.
Morgans father Shaun narrows his eyes before saying “You two have some explaining to do, we better head home, Rocco, Val, we’ll meet you there.”
Morgan looks at his father and says “We have our own cars, so we’ll meet you there as well. Rico, I assume you don’t mind coming to my parents, or I can drop you at Mr. Costa’s house?”
Rico looks and everyone and smirks responding, “Oh no, I’m not missing this meeting son.” I almost snort but manage to hold it in.
My mother looks at us all before asking “Rico can I ride with you and Sirena?” Rico looks at me and I give a wide smile and nod. My mother doesn’t even wait for Rico’s response seeing mine, she heads straight to the two cars that didn’t bring them. I laugh as we all head off to our cars, as soon as I reach my mother, she links arms with me and pulls me into the back with her.
Before anyone else is even in the car she has me in the tightest bear hug, I can feel her sobbing silently. I pull away before saying “Mamma va bene, sono a casa. (Mum its ok, I’m home)” I wipe the tears from her face before kissing her on each cheek and hugging her again, at this point Rico and Morgan have got in the car and our driver is about to pull away.
Before we even get two foot my mother turns to Morgan with a pointed finger and says, “You have a lot of fucking explaining to do.”
Morgan is as shocked as I am when she throws herself across the car at him, she grabs him in a tight embrace and sobs “Thank you for bringing her home safely again, you really are my hero.” Morgan blushes not knowing what to say.
Uncle Rico chuckles before saying to my mother “Buon Dio donna, lasciam respirare il ragazza, e ciao, ho portato anche lei a cass. (Good God woman, let the boy breath, and hello, I brought her home as well)” I chuckle as my mother looks at my uncle with a stern expression.
Then she turned and slapped him around the head saying “Stavo arrivando da te. (I was getting to you.)”
Morgan snorted trying to hold in his laughter, my mother then turned to him and smacked him in the head saying “Non puoi ridere, devi ancora spiegare.”
I burst out laughing this time as I say “Mamma Morgan non puo capirti. (Mum Morgan can’t understand you.)” Morgan gives a nervous shrug as my mum looks at him.
She chuckles to herself before saying “Oh right, I said ‘you can’t laugh, you still have to explain’.”
Morgan visibly gulps and quickly says, “Of course Mrs Costa, I’m sorry. I was only doing what was best for Savannah, sorry Sirena and anyway it was all her idea.”
I glare at Morgan for throwing me under the bus, when I look back at her, my mother gives me a stern look before scoffing “Oh I have no doubt it was all her idea, and the name change is going to be hard to get used to.”
I sigh and take my mother’s hand as I explain “I know it will be hard mamma, but you have to call me Sirena wherever we are. Enzo has some of papa’s men in his pocket, I don’t know who yet, but I know that some are with him. Dante got to Harley, and he was one of mine mamma so I know there are more.”
My mother gasps clearly in shock and asks, “And what has happened to this Harley?”
I snort before responding “Mamma, dovresti conoscermi ormai. (Mum, you should know me by now.)” I smirk at her.
My mother chuckles and asks “I’hai fatto male? (Did you make it hurt)”
I chuckle a sinister chuckle and respond “Non ancora. (Not yet)” Morgan is looking between us confused only knowing limited Italian, I laugh at his expression and explain, “She asked if I hurt Harley, and I just explained to her not yet.”
Morgan chuckles nervously before saying “Remind me to be out the day you deal with him.” Rico, my mother and I burst out laughing at that “What I’m serious, she’s terrifying.” Morgan explains causing us all to laugh harder.
Taylor took care of making sure Harley was locked up, he thinks that he hasn’t been dealt with because everyone is still too busy mourning my death. His is another face I’m looking forward to seeing, especially when he figures out who I really am, and I will make sure he knows.
Harley can wait for now first we have to explain everything to those who need to know, then we need to get ready for the gala. I’m shitting myself but from Morgans families reaction I might just pull it off, if my best friend couldn’t be sure then I can make Enzo question it just enough for him to question his own sanity.
I can’t wait for him to start seeing me or rather Savannah’s ghost everywhere he goes, and I will make sure my face is everywhere he is as much as possible. I will haunt every aspect of his life, just like he has mine since he took my unborn child from me. Now it’s time for me to make sure he loses the thing he loves most, his power.
