Meet
Ava woke up in a random room, Where am I? she thought. She tried to talk but it felt like she lost her voice. What’s happening? She looked around and that’s when she spotted a horse. She looked at the horse and it stared back, that’s when a familiar feeling rushed through Ava’s head. She felt like she knew this horse. She tried to pet it but the horse ran away. After a while she tried to look for an exit. She spotted a door that said exit, she walked to it. Wait, there’s a random door that says exit, should I go in? What if it’s a trap? She thought. You know what, I’m going. She gathered her courage and went through the door. Not only to find the horse, but other animals as well. A bunch of animals. Where the heck am I? Am I dreaming? Then she spotted a human, Finally someone real, she thought. She walked to the person and patted their shoulders. The person turned and yelled, “Hello, welcome to Dreamville!”. Dreamville? What kind of person names a city Dreamville? And why are they yelling? She tried to speak, but her voice still has not returned. She pointed to her mouth, trying to say, I can’t speak. “You can’t speak?,” the person asked. Ava nodded. How did he guess what I was trying to say, guess I’m amazing at describing things. “No, you’re the worst at describing things, I just dreamed that I could read your mind” the person said. Dreamed that you can read my mind? Ava thought. “Yes, this is Dreamville you dream about things and it comes true” said the person. So I can dream that I can talk? The person nodded. Ava dreamed of her talking, then she opened her mouth, “Hello” she said. “I can talk!” said Ava happily. “Yes, yes yes” she cheered. “So are you going to introduce yourself?” asked the person next to Ava. “Sorry, I’m Ava Miles,” said Ava. “I’m Ace Mugs, and I’ve lived here my whole life,” said Ace. “Your whole life?” asked Ava. Ace nodded. That’s when Ava noticed a bruise next to Ace’s mouth. She reached out and touched his lips, “What happened?” she asked. “Nothing,” said Ace. That’s when Ava realized she was still touching his lips. “I’m so sorry,” said Ava, removing her hands from his lips. “It’s fine,” said Ace. How is this fine? We meant like 5 minutes ago and I’m touching him. This is so embarrassing. “It’s fine really, it was the first time someone was really worried about me,” said Ace. Ava stared at him, “Don’t your parents worry about, when you fall, when you cry, when you-” “No, I don’t have parents” interrupts Ace. Ava wanted to ask him but seeing the look on his face, she couldn’t. The silence was so awkward. “You want my help, right?” asked Ace after a while. Ava nodded. “All you have to do is find the special tree, eat the fruit and then you will have the Dream power and Dream about yourselves being home”. “Where’s this special tree?” asked Ava. Ace pointed at the top of a mountain. “All the way up there?” asked Ava. Ace nodded. “Will what are we waiting for, let’s go!” said Ava. Ace faced lighted up. Then they started walking, not knowing what’s waiting for them. Will they find friends to help on their Journey? Will they make it up the mountain? Will the tree give Ava her Dream powers? Who knows?
