Demons in the House

Mike was a man who worked at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He just finished his last shift there. He had a fear of the animatronics that haunted him there. But now, he is done. He would never have to face them ever again, or so he thought.

He was pulling into his driveway. Mike lived in a small, 1-floor house. He got out of his car and locked it. He stepped through his front door to find himself in the living room. His living room had a sofa and tv, along with an ottoman. There were two end tables on either side of the sofa.

Mike was hungry, so he stepped into his kitchen to get something to eat. He made a pizza and went to bed.

Mike suddenly woke up to a loud banging noise in the kitchen. Mike looked at his digital clock on his end table, but it was off. The power must have gone out. Maybe a tree fell from the gusty winds outside.

Mike got out of bed and grabbed his flashlight off the end table. “Hello?” Mike called out. He was answered with another loud thump. It came from the kitchen again.

Mike went to the kitchen and immediately regretted it. Standing where the table used to be was a giant bear like the Freddy Fazbear mascot from his job, but this one was fused with nightmare fuel.

This bear was yellow with huge claws. His fur was ripped. Each one of his teeth was at least half a foot long. He had bright red eyes and a purple hat and bowtie. He had another mouth on his stomach.

Mike was paralyzed with fear. He wanted to move, but he couldn’t. All he could do was watch as the monster got closer and closer to him. This animatronic reminded Mike of Fredbear, an animatronic from a previous location.

The nightmare inducing Fredbear reached Mike and picked him up. Mike wanted to scream, but he couldn’t. In fact, he couldn’t say anything at all, whether it was loud or quiet.

Mike still couldn’t move. He could only scream in his head. Though his fear was noticeable from looking into his eyes.

Fredbear spoke. “I assure you, I am very real.” Fredbear opened his mouth wide and placed Mike’s head into it. Then, a second later, it closed down onto his brain. This was followed with a loud CRUNCH!

Mike suddenly woke up, and this time, he could scream. Thankfully, it was just a nightmare.

Mike looked at his digital clock on his end table, but it was off. The power must have gone out. Maybe a tree fell from the gusty winds outside.

Mike got out of bed and grabbed his flashlight. He heard a loud thumping noise from the kitchen. Oh god. It’s happening again. I know it’s real this time. Mike thought to himself.

Mike grabbed his watch from the end table. He looked at the time. It was 12:00 A.M. Of course it was. Mike decided that he should not go to the kitchen. He knew that Nightmare Fredbear would be there.

He knew he had to leave. He silently ran to the living room. He heard another thump from the kitchen. He ran to the door, but wait, where was it? There was more of the wall in place of the door. Mike would have to jump through the window, but the wall covered those as well.

Mike’s eyes widened. He knew he wasn’t dreaming, either. Mike knew what he had to do. He had to hold out until 6:00, just like at Freddy’s. He heard footsteps. He ran behind his couch and turned his light off. He peeked his head over the couch and he saw it. Nightmare Fredbear. Fredbear did not see him, yet.

He could barely make out the outline of Fredbear’s body, but he could see that it was massive. Mike held his breath in until Fredbear went back to the kitchen. Mike quickly leaped over his couch and ran back to his bedroom.

He heard loud footsteps behind him. Mike reached his room and slammed the door shut. The footsteps abruptly stopped. Mike held onto the door in case Fredbear tried to open it. Mike heard footsteps entering the living room. He silently opened the door.

He looked out to be surprised. He did not see what he expected to see. Looking right at him was Bonnie the bunny, from his job. But this one was way worse. He had blood red eyes, and his blue fur was ripped to shreds. He had 2 layers of sharp teeth. His claws were huge.

Mike immediately shut the door again. He backed away. Suddenly, the door creaked open. Mike rushed into his closet. Nightmare Bonnie stormed into the room. He searched every inch of the room besides the closet. He then stormed out.

Mike sighed with relief and clicked his flashlight back on. He saw a long metal hook out of the corner of his eye. He instantly turned to the left and nearly screamed at what he saw. It was Foxy. But again, he was different from the one at Freddy’s.

This Foxy was larger, and even more tattered. He had no eye patch. He had the same red eyes. And he had 2 layers of sharp teeth. Mike immediately opened his closet door and stepped out. He closed the closet door and held it shut. He heard a metallic groaning noise. It was high pitched.

Mike looked on his bed and screamed. There were 3 mini Freddys. They were also tattered with sharp teeth. Mike shined his light and they disappeared. Mike heard more footsteps approaching.

This time, outside the door was Chica the Chicken. This Chica was nowhere near as nice looking and entertaining as the Chica at Freddy’s. This one was all tattered, like the others. The cupcake in her hand had red eyes and one layer of sharp teeth.

Mike slammed the door shut. He heard banging from the other side of the door. Chica was trying to get in, but Mike stood his ground.

Eventually, Chica gave up and walked away. Mike opened the door and stealthily walked out to the living room. Fortunately, nothing was there. Mike looked at his watch. It was 12:30. Mike still had plenty of time left before he was safe.

Mike silently crept to the kitchen. Nothing was in there, but there were footsteps approaching from behind. Mike turned around to see Foxy trotting towards him! Foxy swung his hook at him, but he was already running. Foxy dug his hook into the table, instead of Mike’s flesh.

Mike rushed into the kitchen closet. Foxy was too busy getting his hook out from the table to see where he went. Mike could not see the kitchen from inside the closet, so he had to listen carefully.

After 30 seconds, Mike heard footsteps in the living room, then they trailed off. Mike silently exited the closet and crept into the living room. Thankfully, Foxy had gone into some other room. Mike returned to his bedroom. Foxy must have gone into the guest bedroom.

Mike saw the mini Freddys on his bed again. He shined his light on them and they disappeared. Mike checked his doorway and heard breathing before he even shined his light into the hallway. He immediately shut the door.

Suddenly, an idea went to Mike’s head. He could get to the phone and contact the police. Obviously not saying that there were monsters chasing him in his house and he cant get out, but something more realistic, such as something like, “There is somebody in my house, and I don’t know where they are.”

The phone was mobile, meaning there would be power in it, so he could contact them. The phone was in the kitchen. So he could get to the phone, as soon as the coast was clear. So now, he could get there whenever the coast was clear.

The animatronic left Mike’s door, so he exited his bedroom. He just had to get to the kitchen. He heard footsteps behind him. He looked back to see the nightmarish Foxy chasing him! Mike ran as fast as he could, not looking back. He leaped over his couch. Thankfully, Foxy never peeked over.

Mike got out from behind the couch and continued into the kitchen. He rushed up to the phone and dialed 911. A long beeping noise played, and then it went silent. The phone line was down. Mike heard footsteps coming from the basement. Mike rushed back into his bedroom and shut the door. Mike looked at his watch. It was 1:00.

Mike had to make a plan for survival. He would get caught by the nightmares and god knows what would happen after that, if he stayed in his room. He decided that he had to keep moving around his house if he wanted to live.

Mike peeked out his doorway to find no monsters. He quietly walked to the bathroom. Maybe his attackers would have a sense of decency. He locked the door. He would just sit there and wait.

30 minutes later, Mike heard the sound of someone, or something, trying to open the door. Mike’s heart started to race. The demon on the other side of the door started to pound. The pounds started to get harder. Mike hopped into the shower and shut the curtain.

Mike heard the door snap. Then, BAM! The door flew into the shower, nearly crushing Mike. His heart skipped a beat. He heard loud footsteps approach the shower curtain. Then, in one swift motion, a tattered blue arm swiped the curtain open. Mike let out a scream. He had been found.

Nightmare Bonnie tried to pick Mike up, but he pushed them back and pushed him aside. Nightmare Bonnie swiped his metallic claws at Mike’s face, but he quickly backed up. He saw a bright red liquid fly through the air. Then, he felt a slight sharp pain on his cheek. He looked at Bonnie’s claw and saw a sliver of blood. He had cut him.

Mike rushed out of the room and looked to his right to see Nightmare Foxy swiping his hook at him. He ran to the left, but the hook caught Mike’s shirt. “NO!” Nightmare Foxy pulled Mike closer and then roared. “LET ME GO!” Mike slid his shirt from the hook and ran off.

He ran into the living room and saw Nightmare Chica swiping her claw at him. He quickly ducked, avoiding the fatal blow. He rushed into the kitchen. He looked behind him. Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Chica, and Nightmare Foxy were all standing there. Mike had no choice but to go into the basement.

Mike stepped into his basement and locked the door behind him. The door was thicker than the bathroom door, so the animatronics likely wouldn’t be able to get in. The first thing Mike did was look at his watch. It was still 2:00. He still had 4 more hours to go. Mike walked down the stairs with his flashlight in hand. He reached the bottom. He made a left turn to see the boxes and storage scattered across the basement. There was a concrete floor, and the walls were bricks painted white. Mike heard one of the animatronics banging on the door. It would not hold for much longer. Mike needed to find a good hiding spot quickly. He quickly searched his basement. He saw a small crawl space between 2 boxes in the middle of his basement. He ducked down and crawled in. It led to a little mini room-like spot. Mike got down and waited for the animatronics to get in. The banging got louder and louder, until he heard the door go flying. Mike got tense as he heard heavy footsteps going down the stairs. Mike clicked his flashlight off and got down. Mike heard multiple pairs of heavy footsteps walking around the basement. His hands were shaking. Suddenly, he saw a pair of red eyes outside of the crawlspace. He curled up into a ball and held his breath. The animatronic must not have seen him since it walked away. Mike let out his breath and kept quiet. He suddenly heard the animatronics throwing the boxes around. He heard things shattering and breaking. The boxes slammed to the ground. I gotta get outta here. Mike thought to himself. He crawled out of the space and looked around. Boxes were on the ground, and their contents spilled on the floor. Mike quickly ran around a corner just to run into Nightmare Chica. Mike tried to push the animatronic, but it grabbed his hands and proceeded to twist them. Mike let out a scream as the pain was unbearable. If they twisted much more, they would break. Mike headbutt the nightmare and thankfully, it let go. Mike scrambled away and ran to the staircase. He saw a sledgehammer leaning against the wall. He grabbed it and ran up the stairs. He noticed the basement door was smashed onto the ground. Mike did not care about his house anymore. He only cared about getting out of here alive. He went into the living room and readied his sledgehammer. He then swung it. He smashed the sledgehammer into the wall. There was more wall after that. He swung again, and made another hole, but again, it was more of a wall. No matter how many times he swung, there was more wall. Eventually, the hammer broke. Dammit. Mike heard footsteps going up the basement stairs. He had to find a hiding spot quickly. He knew if he kept hiding in the same spots, they would catch him. He ran into his room and crawled under his bed. Mike heard footsteps enter the room. He held his breath tight. It was Nightmare Bonnie. The animatronic searched the closet, and left. That was it. If Mike made it out of here alive, he was going up to that restaurant, and he was going to let the owner know that he was going to sue them. Mike checked his watch. It was 3:00. He was almost there. He got out from under his bed and exited his bedroom. He checked the hallways, they were empty. He went to the kitchen, nobody was there. He was alone. The animatronics were gone. Suddenly, he heard extremely heavy footsteps. He turned around and he saw it. The bear from his dream. Nightmare Fredbear. He looked the same as he did from the dream. He was massive with yellow-orange fur, and massive teeth and claws, and the mouth on its stomach. Mike could move this time, though. He quickly grabbed a large kitchen knife and threw it at the abomination. It caught it, and ate it. Mike’s eyes widened with horror. The demon rushed towards him, but Mike slipped right past it. He rushed into the living room, with Nightmare Fredbear not far behind. Now, it was Mike, and Nightmare Fredbear facing each other. Mike faked a movement to the left and then rushed to the right, slipping right past Nightmare Fredbear. He then faked a movement into his bedroom, but went into the guest bedroom. He saw Nightmare Fredbear rush into his bedroom. Mike leaped under the guest bed. Not long after that, Nightmare Fredbear went in. He ripped down the closet door, flipped over the end tables. And lastly, it flipped over the bed, revealing Mike. It quickly picked him up before he could run away. It opened its mouth and placed Mike’s head inside it. As it was getting ready to crush Mike’s head, he stabbed it in the eye. He had actually grabbed a second knife while he was in the kitchen. Nightmare Fredbear opened its mouth and let go of Mike. He quickly rushed out of the room. That thing tried eating his head! What was that thing? This wasn’t how he was going to die. He wasn’t going to get his head or any other part of him being eaten by that thing. No way. He had to find a way to get the hell out of here. He ran to his basement. He had other tools there. He rushed into the basement and went to the tool wall. He had an axe, a hammer, a crowbar, a wrench, and a chainsaw. Mike wasn’t going down without a fight. He grabbed the chainsaw and went upstairs. He went into the living room and saw Nightmare Fredbear standing there, facing him. “Go back to Hell,” Mike pulled the starter handle, and the chainsaw started. The blades circled as the chainsaw vibrated and made a low rumbling noise. Mike rushed up to Nightmare Fredbear and ran the saw. The chainsaw cut right through the demon. The animatronic split in half. Mike was horrified to see no animatronic parts. They were all body parts that you would see in a living thing. Blood splattered all over the place. Mike’s eyes widened with horror. He turned the chainsaw off and set it down. How could the thing be an actual living thing? He then went over to the wall and turned the chainsaw back on. He then started sawing through the wall, but it was never ending. “DAMMIT!” Mike turned the chainsaw off and set it down. He looked at the time. It was 4:00. Suddenly, Nightmare Fredbear’s body disappeared. Mike heard footsteps in the kitchen. He picked the chainsaw back up and turned it on. The footsteps grew closer. Then, a shadowy figure in an iconic shape of Nightmare Fredbear’s body appeared. It was a nightmare. Nightmare. Mike rushed up to Nightmare and activated the saw, but it went right through it as if it wasn’t there. Nightmare slashed its claws and cut Mike. Blood poured down Mike’s arm. He clenched it tightly and backed up. Nightmare rushed up to Mike, and everything went dark for him. Mike woke up in a dark room. He had no idea where he was. All he knew was that he was in danger. He couldn’t seem to move. He could barely even see. He could only see the outline of a door. The door swung open, and in came Nightmare. Nightmare’s red eyes gleamed in the darkness as it got closer and closer to Mike. Mike could only watch as Nightmare approached him. Nightmare picked Mike up and carried him outside of the room. It turns out, Mike was still in his house, the room he was just in somehow appeared out of nowhere. Nightmare threw Mike across the living room. Mike let out a scream of pain. His back felt broken. Mike could move now. He got back up and saw Nightmare rushing towards him. Mike leaped to the right and dodged the attack. Nightmare slammed into the wall. Mike ran away, but Nightmare grabbed him. Nightmare roared and then got ready to smash Mike’s head. Nightmare swung at Mike, and he felt nothing. Mike woke up. He screamed. A faint light shined through Mike’s window. Mike looked at his digital clock. It was 6:00 AM. He made it. His back was sore. He looked at his arm. It was cut, but it was already healing. He got up and went to the hallway. The bathroom door was intact. He went into the guest bedroom. Everything was clean and in place. Everything was how it was before that night. Mike was going to keep what happened to himself. There was no way anybody would believe him. Mike got a letter in the mail. He opened it up and read it. Dear Mike Schmidt, you have done a great job on your night guard job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, and have even done one extra night. We would like you to come back tonight for one more night. You will be paid extra money for your cooperation. Thank you. Mike crumpled up the paper, but he considered taking it, even after what happened. Later that night, Mike was leaving his house for the extra shift. He knew what he had to do. He even forgot to shower…
