The house on Broomwood Moose Street
I was sitting on the chair. I got a call on the lane line that bodies had been recovered from a house on Broomwood Moose Street. I left for the crime scene with two more police officers. Today the weather was a bit bad. There was fog everywhere. Nothing was visible. We were nervous because Rockfield Pines is a small town. This is the first time someone has reported a murder. We reached Broomwood Moose Street in a few minutes. Mikayla York is my partner. She gets out of the car and starts walking toward the house.
Mikayla is a loyal woman who is addicted to video games. She looks old for her age. Her top quality is that she is particularly generous. She is particularly interested in hosting magnificent tea parties. Brett also went after her. Brett Sweeney is a colleague of mine. We are not that close.
Brett Sweeney can only drive when the weather is rainy. Physically, he is built like a brick. He strongly dislikes goldfish. On Thursday, he likes to catalog his successes.
I was sitting in the car, staring at the house. The house was giving me strange vibes. That is when I saw a man in a wheelchair near the house.
As I saw the old man, I got out of the car. And I walked toward that man. When I reached him, I saw that he had a patch on one eye. His clothes are dirty like he has not taken a bath for several years. He looks 90 years old.
As soon as I got close to him, he started moving the wheelchair to the other side with his hands. I shouted and stopped him. He looked at me and stopped. “I am sorry I gave you trouble. But I must ask you. What did you know about what happened in this house? While I was talking, I heard Mikayla’s voice, so I looked behind. “I want to show you something. Come inside,” Mikayla said while going back inside the house.
When I looked back at the old man, he had disappeared. I was surprised not to find him there. I looked around, trying to find him. Meanwhile, Brett approaches me from behind. I turned my face and looked at him.
“What you are looking at here and there. Who are you looking for?” Brett asked. I was just staring at Brett, and a minute later I said “I was talking to a man. I nod my head. He was an old man. I was just talking to him, then I looked away for a second, and he just vanished.”
Brett looked at me in astonishment. “I did not see anyone here. Let’s go inside because the scene inside the house will scare you,” Brett said while walking toward the house. I followed him to the door. As I enter the house, I feel chilled. I looked around and saw Mikayla standing in the room on my left side. Brett walks into the room with me. It was the living room.
I put my hand on my nose because an unpleasant smell was coming from this room. It was the living room. One male adult was sitting on the chair, and one female adult was lying on the ground. One male teen was sitting on the sofa next to the teenage girl. Their eyes were open. There are some satanic symbols carved on their foreheads and palms. I was just staring at them. “Who did this?” I asked.
Mikayla looks at me. I do not know. What do you think?” Mikayla asked. I look at them.
“Their eyes are white and wide open. They are stabbed, but there is no blood on the ground or anywhere else. I do not think it is a murder-suicide,” I said. Brett leans forward and tries to investigate one of the victim’s mouths because he feels something moving in it.
As soon as Brett opens the teenage boy’s mouth, worms start coming out. Brett steps back. When the teenage boy’s mouth is empty of worms, I lean forward to see that the teenager’s tongue was cut off. After that, we called the forensic team to come and deliver the dead bodies to the morgue.
After some time, the forensic team arrived, went inside the house, and started doing their work. And I started inspecting the house. As I was walking into the other room, I saw a wall clock. It was placed in the corner. I walked up to it, and as I was staring at the clock, I saw a reflection on the clock’s glass. The old lady was standing behind me. She thrusts her head forward and whispers in my right ear.
“Kill them.” “Kill them.”
I suddenly look back, and there is no one behind me. I shake my head. Meanwhile, Mikayla calls me. Marcus,” we have finished our work here. “Do you want us to go with the forensic team or will you drive us to the police station?” I look at her. “Hmmm... I can drop you at the police station.”
We hopped in and left for the police station.
Two weeks later
I was about to leave when my brother Aaron walked into my office. He was in a pleasing mood. I was just staring at him.
“What are you looking like this? I have come to pick you up. Roxy and mom asked. So, I am here,” Aaron said. I look at him. “Anything special?” I asked.
“Hoh... my brother, a big surprise is waiting for you at home,” he said while walking out of the police station. I followed him to the door. We hopped in the car, and Aaron drove me home.
While we were going home, I saw him going in the opposite direction of our home. I look at him. “Where are you going? You are going on the wrong road. Our house is on the other side,” I said. He looks at me and says, do not worry; your surprise is on this way.”
I sit quietly. After a while, we arrived at Broomwood Moose Street and Aaron stopped the car in front of the house where we found the dead bodies two weeks ago. I look at him with a surprised face. “Why did you stop here?” I asked while walking out of the car. He walks up to me. What do you mean? This is a surprise. We bought this house,” Aaron said. Before I say something to him, he runs inside the house.
I follow him inside the house. As I was locking the door behind me, I again saw the reflection of an old woman in the door glass. This time, she whispered in my ear, and after hearing what the woman said, I got scared and fell to the ground.
