Chapter 1

As I get up for another school day, I hear my father call.

"Pasley! Get your ass down here!" He yells

I sigh knowing what's coming next and head downstairs.

"What's with this C on your report card?!" He screams in my face while pointing to a peice of paper

I hold back my tears in my eyes and apologize.

"I'm greatly sorry father, it won't happen again. It's just that there was a difficult tes-"

My father innteupts me with a slap on the face. It started to burn, like fire spreading up my cheek.

"Your're damn right it won't happen again." He speaks, in a lower tone, while walking back to the kitchen.

As I retreat back to my room, a tear rolls down my firey cheek, cooling the hot sensation.

I arrive to my bedroom and grab my bag. I creep down the stairs slowly, making sure my dad wasnt there. Once I saw the coast was clear, I continued down and left for school.

Ooooh, I love the title for your story! Noticed a few grammar issues here and there but nothing that took away from the story! Nice job!

Bloodlines

lblomme: I always love a story where good overcomes evil. The sad start, the growth, and ultimate strength of the main character was well done. The story never lagged and ultimately delivered a happy ending even for characters who were less than stellar. Well done!

Silver's Second Chance

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
