Chapter One
Phoebe's POV-
It's been a week since we had come back from our family trip to Disney World and we were on break from school due to thanksgiving. Luke had texted me to see if I wanted to hang out today. Since I didn't have anywhere to be until Robin and Roland came over later for a play date/ sleepover since Emma was watching Neal so Snow and David could have a few days to them selves and Henry was out with Violet all day I happily replied asking what time. We met around 1:30 at Granny's and had lunch.
I was wearing a crop- top tee, ripped jeans, combat boots that Emma had recently bought me and a grey beanie with my everyday makeup.
Luke ordered a ham club sandwich with a strawberry milkshake and I ordered a bean burger and a vanilla milkshake. He wanted to know everything about my trip since he had never been there himself.
I told him how everyone reacted to seeing the outside world's version of themselves. I told him about my dad's reaction and we laughed longer then we probably should have.
When I asked him about what he'd done while I was gone he had told me that his sister Ruby had been teaching him how to keep control when he was in wolf form.
We were having so much fun we didn't realize what time it was and were shocked to see that it was already 7:30.
Luke decide to walk me home because he said he had something important to ask me. We took the long way to my house, which you can see the ocean from. I got this weird feeling in my stomach once we started getting closer to my house; wondering what he had to ask me.
Once we could see my house he had grabbed my hand and smiled that perfect smile of his; "Phoebe", he said sounding nervous
I felt like my insides we're knotting up inside me. "We've known each other for a while now, and I was just wanted to know i-if. You wanted to be my girlfriend?"
Before I could get a single word out he pulled out a really pretty ring and I smiled so big that it was kind of making my face hurt. "Y-Yes" I replied and he looked at me and leaned in really close to new and we kissed for what felt like for ever.
He put the promise ring on my finger and said "I promise that I will do right by you no matter what" He whispered into my ear
"and I you. " I whispered back.
I was beyond happy at this point. Once we started walking again we were at my house in a matter of minutes. Once we were on my porch we haven't realized we were holding hands.
We both smiled at each other and kissed again. I didn't know why but for some reason every time we kissed it felt like time stopped. By the time we said our goodbyes it was 8:15 and the sun was setting and the sky was no longer blue but was a mix of pink, red, purple and every color in between.
When Luke was out of sight I reached into my bag I had with me and I got my key out and unlocked the door. When I got inside Robin, Roland, and Neal were already there and I walked in to see them, my parents, and Henry and Violet all in the living room talking.
I grabbed Robin and Violet's hands and yanked them up to my room. My parents looked at Henry who had a knowing grin on his face. Once we were in my room and the door was shut we got Melody on the magic mirror set Regina gave us to communicate with her when she was at (home) "aka" under the sea I had told them everything that had happened.
They both looked at each other and Violet whispered to Robin loud enough that I could hear her. "You owe me twenty bucks".
Then I showed them the ring he gave me. It was so beautiful, even more so since it complemented the charm bracelet he gave me as an early birthday gift on our first date and it went well with the necklace with my name on it; and a picture of me and Emma when I was a baby and my only other necklace I wore that had Emma's swan keychain and a small hook like the one Killian had instead of a hand. When we had all calmed down a little it was time for dinner.
The three of us said goodbye to Melody and went down stairs. When we made it down stairs Henry was looking at Violet for confirmation, a look was all he needed. When we ate we were relatively quiet up until Robin and Violet looked at each other and started laughing hysterically.
Then Killian finally spoke up "what's so funny lass?"
All of a sudden Henry, Violet, and Robin looked at me all at the same time making me blush. "Does this have something to do with why you came in so happy Phoebe?" Emma butted in.
I looked down at my plate not knowing what to do.
Violet whispered under her breathe "When telling your parents about bae", Robin acknowledged her comment by whispering "mood" under her's, and Henry let out a "this should be fun".
That's when my parents saw the ring on my finger. "Did u get engaged?" Emma said not knowing what to think. As soon as the words left her mouth Killian almost choked.
"No,It's just a promise ring from Luke; he asked me to be his girlfriend." I explained just as shocked as my dad by her comment.
My parents grew silent I then turned to to Henry and asked "Wait how did you know I only told Robin and Violet?"
"He came to me a few das ago and asked for my blessing." He said proudly.
"He did?" I asked forgetting that they were best friends.
"He did? " My parents said in sync.
"Yes he did." He spoke in a duh tone.
"Well he seems like a nice lad" Killian said sounding surprisingly ok with the whole thing.
We then finished cleaning up dinner and Emma put Rowland and Neal to bed in the spare bedroom. While Emma was upstairs everyone else had gone to get ready for bed. I sat on the couch with my dad in the living room. He hadn't really said much since I shared the news so I decided to break the silence.
"Dad, are you really ok with this?" I asked cautiously not knowing where the conversation was headed.
"Aye love, as long as he treats you right and your happy that's all that matters; not what me or anyone else thinks. Just promise me you'll make good decisions." He gave me the eyes that told me what he ment.
" I promise" I said while laughing under my breath.
He didn't say anything after that so I found my self thinking about what happened that night and the time period around it, I want to tell my parents everything but the fact that they may not want me after I do keeps me from coming clean. That and the fact that Robin and I just got our family back, I couldn't do that to her. Within minutes we were both dozing off on the couch.
