Introduction
How do you scare someone into giving you everything? Ask the Christian church. Don’t believe me? The bible, the literature on which they base their faith, tells them to take 10% of their income and put it into savings so they’ll never want for anything. The institution has manipulated that guidance to convince its parishioners to give 10% to them instead of to themselves, and it edifies the building, along with the minister’s billfold, while doing nothing for the patrons themselves. If they do otherwise, they are told that they will burn in hell every day beyond their death.
