Unwanted Power

In the small town of Erie in Indiana, during the 1990s, there resided a coven of witches. Luna, the oldest sister, possessed a commanding presence and a cool confidence. Eko and Liza, the twins, were known for their captivating beauty, although their personalities couldn't be more different. Eko was outgoing and seductive, while Liza was easily manipulated and often followed in her sister and then there was Regan, the quiet and shy sister, she was the youngest but was the most powerful and was always destined to lead the coven.

One fateful night, as the four sisters stood at the edge of the mystical circle they had crafted, under the full moons glow. Regan felt a surge of power coursing through her veins. It was a power unlike any other, and she knew that her journey into womanhood had bestowed upon her the access to her full power’s potential.

Luna, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, eyed Regan with both awe and jealousy. She too wanted to wield such power, but she knew it was not her fate. Eko, on the other hand, scoffed at the revelation, refusing to acknowledge Regan's growing strength. Liza, ever the follower, was torn between her loyalty to Eko and her admiration for Regan's new capabilities.

As the days passed, Regan's power only intensified, causing further rifts within the coven. Luna, consumed by envy, confronted her little sister as they stood in the darkness of the night with only a campfire in the distance.

"Why must it be you, Regan? I have worked so hard to be the leader," Luna exclaimed, her voice heavy with frustration.

Regan, calm and collected, met her sister's gaze. "This wasn't choice, Luna. I didn't ask for this. I don't want to lead."

Eko and Liza, overhearing the argument, approached cautiously, their faces filled with conflicting emotions.

"Luna, you have always been the captivating sister. You have taken control effortlessly. Why are you threatened by me?" Regan asked, her voice tinged with sadness.

Luna looked away, unable to meet Regan's eyes. "I'm not threatened. I just... It just feels like it should be my right. I am the oldest I should be leading us."
