Chapter 1
At first, life just became sad. Bonnie and Damon were dead, Stefan totally vanished and Elena was going off the wagon. But after a while, things kind of changed. First of all, Enzo came back in town, so Caroline wasn't as lonely, but Stefan finally answered her calls telling her to leave him alone and when she tried to get to Elena, she learn that this one had made Alaric compel her to forget about Damon and everything supernatural except that she as a vampire. As for now Caroline and Enzo were in California in order to try to bring Damon and Bonnie back to life.
โ Are you sure about this ?โ Enzo asked
โYeah... Well no but it's not like we have the choice.โ Caroline replied
They were on their way to meet with a witch who they had been told could help them. Caroline went ahead to knock on the door.
โSee ? We're not dead.โ The blond said
โYet.โ Said the girl who had opened the door
The two vampire backed away by instinct.
โWe're not here for trouble, love.โ Enzo stated
โGod is it a British thing to call people โloveโ? Or just a British Vampire thing ?โ The girl sighted
โWhat do you mean ?โ Caroline frowned
โYeah looks like Klaus Mickealson left a weird legacy...โ She rolled her eyes
โIf you think that, you and I can become friends.โ The vampire laughed
The girl looked at the two vampire before taking a step to the left to invite them in. Once inside they sat around a wooden table and they tarted talking.
โSo. What's your problem ?โ Kati asked them - she told them her name when they came in -.
โTwo of our friends are dead, but The Other Side collapse so we actually believe they aren't really dead.โ Enzo explained
โI can try to communicate with them. I have a spell that can reach them anywhere except if they fell into oblivion. But I'll need something of them.โ Kati answered
โOh ! I have that !โ Caroline reach her jacket pocket and grabbed a ring that used to belong to Bonnie
โOk. Here we go.โ The redheaded witch spoke
She took the ring and focused on it for several minutes before opening her eyes. She grabbed Caroline and Enzo's hand and the world faded around them.

They opened their eyes, and found themselves inside the Salvatore's boarding house, Caroline frowned, and they both jumped back when the door behind them busted open. Turning around, the saw Bonnie, Damon and another guy entering the place.
''Caroline ?!'' Bonnie exclaimed
''Bonnie !'' Caroline screamed, launching herself on the other girl
''How are you two here ?'' Damon asked
''We went to see a witch, what is this place exactly ?'' Enzo wondered after hugging Damon
The boy that was with them decided to take his chance to talk now.
''It's a sort of other dimension. I'm Kai by the way.'' He said holding his hand to the newcomer.
''Pleasure.'' Caroline smiled
''Is there a way to got you out of here ?'' Enzo wondered
''Yes, but we have to do it from here, you can't help, but we should be coming back tomorrow.'' Bonnie explained
Caroline and Enzo felt a tug that seems to pull them away from where they were. They had no time to say anything more, they found themselves back to the witch house.
''What happened ?'' Enzo asked
''It's time to pay the price.'' The witch said
''What ?!'' Caroline exclaimed
The witch raised her hand and Caroline clutched her head in pain.
''I had time to watch in your little head vampire. Klaus took something from me and you are going to help me get it back !'' She growled
Enzo was unable to move, he was helpless to Caroline's pain and he didn't know what to do. Suddenly a wave of power rushed trough the room, and the witch lost her focus as she frowned.
''Who are you ? โฆ No ! Don't do that !'' She screamed
She shrieked in pain and collapse in a blinding light, when the duet look in her direction, the only thing they saw is a guy, unconscious. Caroline stepped closer to him and turned him around, the vampire gasped when she recognized him.
''Kol...'' she whispered
''Who ?'' Enzo wondered
''He's โฆ He's an original but he was dead.'' she said turning to Enzo
''I've always been, Darling.'' A raspy voice said
Caroline jumped at the voice and stumble backward.
''Relax, Darling, I'm not going to hurt you.'' Kol said while getting up
''How are you here ?'' She asked
''Long story, where are we by the way ? I got to go back to New-Orleans.'' Kol smirked
''California, mate. Why New-Orleans ?'' Enzo replied
''I have to go back to piss off my brothers.'' Kol laughed ''Wanna come ?'' He asked
Enzo and Caroline looked at each other and smirked.
'' I'm in, but we have a stop to make before.''
''Where ?'' He asked
''What do you think ?''

The trip to Mystic Falls was some what quiet in the end, Enzo was driving and Kol and Caroline fell asleep fast.
"Waky waky sleepy heads !"
Enzo had parked the car in front of the Mickealson mansion and was now trying and failing to wake the two others. He sight and went to the car horn.
"Ahhhh !" The two vampires screamed at the same time.
"What the hell dude !?" Kol asked
"We're here. And WOW ! Really nothing can wake you guys !" Enzo laughed
"You'll pay for that Enzo! " Caroline whined
"You wish !" He laughed
"Okay guys you're cool and all but if we don't go and sleep now I might end up killing you." Kol stated
They all went inside the mansion and headed to the bedrooms, Kol showed them where they could sleep before he went to his own room and crashed on his bed.
