Chapter 1

Y/n's POV

I'm very smart, and not like normal smart, I have a very high IQ which makes me reason and think differently from normal people.

Having an IQ that high would probably make you happy and you would brag about it all the time, but I prefer to keep it a secret, That is why when I first started schooling at Midtown, I didn't talk much about my IQ, in fact I didn't talk at all, I just go on with my day being alone.

I usually sleep at classes so that no one would suspect a thing, but some how I still end up at the top of all my classes, which makes people wonder if I was a magician or something.

I notice everything and I mean everything. I notice the teachers in the hallway talking about their worst students, I notice the Jocks drooling over some chick from the cheer team, I notice the nerds talking about star wars and their favourite episode, I notice the lunch lady sneeze on the food and still serve it to the students and I practically know quarter of the schools names from hearing it once or twice while walking down the hall.

So today wasn't any different, I sat down at the library during lunch with my head phones on and i let the music blast through my ears. I was reading a book while eating a sandwich, it was a dictionary, a 700 paged dictionary. There was nothing interesting about the book but i would probably finish it before lunch was over anyways.

As I read, I could hear the sounds of footsteps to my right followed by whispering. I didn't look up from my book before I knew it was Peter and Ned, two nerds from my class. I could hear what they were saying but very faintly.

"What was that back there ?, I didn't want her to know just yet" Peter said practically yelling at Ned. "Well you have to tell her, you have been crushing on her for way too long" Ned replied.

"Yeah and I want to keep it that way for now" Peter said and then rest one of his hand on Ned's shoulder. "Look I appreciate your concern dude but I'm not ready yet I'ld prefer to wait a little". "Fine I understand, I'll stay out of your love life". "Thank you".

They kept on talking about something but I didn't want to hear it I'ld rather focus on my book than bore myself by listening to them talking about girls.

Peters POV

Life at New York City has been great especially now that I'm a friendly neighbourhood spider, I love my new suit and I love helping people after school.

Delmar's will always be my favourite sandwich shop, and life in New York city couldn't get better. Of course there were times when I didn't feel that way, like when Ned found out I was Spiderman, or when Aunt May did too. But either than that, I've been great, I no longer need to lie to my aunt that I'm doing stark internship stuff when I was really helping people in the neighbourhood.

Ned and I were talking about our favourite star wars episode when I spotted Liz and Betty on their way to the cafeteria. I stopped paying attention to Ned and he noticed.

"And that's why the first episode of star wars is better than the last" he concluded, "Are you even paying attention ?" He followed my line of sight until it landed on Liz. "If you like her just go tell her"

"Like what ?" I pretended like I didn't  hear him. "You heared me, just go tell her" he repeated.

"No way, I'm not ready for that and besides I've got till I graduate so what's the rush ?". "Well you're gonna have to do it sometime soon or she might be taken before then".Ned said with a look on his face. I knew that look, it meant that he wasn't gonna drop the matter.

"Whatever, let's just go get lunch" I said trying to change the subject. "Not after you talk to Liz" Ned said and pushed me towards Liz and Betty"

"Hey Peter !, Hey Ned" Liz said cheerfully, "Hey Liz"Ned said. I waved and said a silent "Hi". Ned then pushed me forward a little "Peter has something to tell you privately".

"I do ?" I asked completely dumbfounded then I realized what Ned was doing. "Oh yeah !, I do". "Well what is it ?" Liz asked eagerly. "We'll leave you guys to it" Ned said as he pulled Betty away.

BlackKat07: Loved the characters and plot. Unfortunately after about chapter 10 the book really needs a good proof-read - lots of spelling and grammatical errors that spoiled it for me.
