Summary

I can't explain the feeling, my eyes closed as our lips synched beautifully. My stomach was tied in knots and my heart, in a thrumming mess. Unsteady heartbeats tried to force my heart out of my ribcage. Not even Matthew made me feel this way when we kissed. There wasn't a passion like this, this was my first time experiencing a kiss that held so much passion in it. There was similar hunger in our touches and desperation as both our tongues fought for dominance. I forgot I almost died a few minutes back or drowned but absolute horror came from pleasure when I realized I was kissing the man who supposedly risked both our lives to save me. His last words before he claimed my lips replayed in my head. 'Juliette, you can get mad this one time and it would be duly justified.' I was kissing Marcus! Was I mad at him? Obviously no. He was an excellent kisser but shame revolted through my being because I let myself fall into his wicked charms. If I was mad at anyone, it was most definitely myself and my confused feelings that rumbled deep in my belly in uncertainty. I can't make out whatever this situation was. I heard a moan escape my lips when his lips left mine, and gently caressed my jawline trailing downwards towards my throat column. I felt an absolute loss of control of the situation and wanted to go with the flow but it was bad enough I was enjoying this.

In an attempt to escape the reality of catching her boyfriend with another woman, Juliette encounters a man whose self-assertion interests her as much as it riles her.

She was only meant to spend the vacation at a resort to forget the pain, Matthew, her ex-lover plunged her heart into when he cheated.

…But this certain sir imprinted only his touches, his scent and burning lust lingering in his eyes for her and her brain forgets Matthew or any other man exists.

To Juliette she can't fall for his delicious fingers working up a burning need in her deepest core or kisses that seems to know her body more than she does but for how long would she resist innocent temptation?

***

Marcus wanted her words to burn his ego, he has never felt this challenged, it thrilled him more than it bruised his male pride.

He wanted her tongue tearing him like a sharded whip, but most importantly he loved swallowing it deep within the depth of his mouth trying to see if he can tame it at the very least. Her green eyes, siren-ous in nature and her ethereal femininity drowned him in the sea of lust until Marcus was sure it was more than a burning need of his body merging with hers.

He wanted her in ways unfathomable but they only created a burning need for her presence to last forever except it was only a fling.

I was kissing Marcus!

Was I mad at him? Obviously no. He was an excellent kisser but shame revolted through my being because I let myself fall into his wicked charms.

Was I so starved of attention I am willing to seek it from a stranger who called me a filth a few days back?

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me.
