The Plan
In Morning
“Hey, Jenny!” Arya called out cheerfully as she spotted her approaching the house.
“Hey, Arya! I decided to swing by your place,” Jenny waved, a warm smile on her face as she stood in front of her friend.
Arya raised an eyebrow, glancing at Jenny with curiosity. “Why the sudden visit? Any special occasion?”
Jenny shrugged, stepping inside as Arya opened the door. “Not really, I just wanted to talk to you about something.”
Arya stepped aside, letting Jenny in, and they both made their way to the couch. Jenny plopped down comfortably, while Arya leaned against the doorway, still waiting for an explanation.
“So, what’s on your mind?” Arya asked, her tone mixed with confusion and anticipation.
Jenny grinned, clearly excited about whatever was coming next. “You know how you have winter break right now, right?” she asked, her eyes bright with excitement.
“Yeah, I do,” Arya replied, still not sure where this was going. “But what does that have to do with what you wanted to talk about? Spill it already!”
Jenny chuckled at her friend’s impatience. “Okay, okay, I’ll get to the point. I was thinking we should take a trip together. I found this amazing village nearby—it’s beautiful, and I thought we could get away for a little while, enjoy some peace and quiet. What do you think?”
Arya’s eyes lit up. “A trip? Hmm, sounds intriguing... But where exactly is this village, and when are we going? To be honest, I’ve been so bored sitting at home all day, I’m all in for the idea!”
Jenny’s face broke into a grin. “It’s not far from our town, so the travel should be easy. And it’s the perfect place to escape the daily grind. Trust me, you’re going to love it!”
Arya laughed, feeling the excitement bubble up inside her. “This sounds like the perfect getaway! A break from everything, to just enjoy nature. I’m in. Let’s go tomorrow morning, right?”
Jenny nodded eagerly. “Yes! I’m so glad you’re on board!”
Arya leaned back with a contented sigh. “I can’t wait! This is going to be amazing. I haven’t had a real escape in so long. It’ll be so refreshing.”
As Jenny and Arya made their plans, both girls felt a surge of anticipation. For the first time in a long while, they were looking forward to something—a trip that promised not just a change of scenery but a much-needed escape from reality. It was exactly what they needed.
And so, with excitement in the air, they both prepared for the adventure ahead, eagerly awaiting the morning.
The excitement in the air was palpable as both girls spent the rest of the day preparing for their trip. Arya couldn’t stop smiling as she packed her bag, tossing in her favorite hoodie, snacks, and a camera to capture the beauty of the village. She found herself humming as she thought about the adventure ahead. It had been so long since she had done something spontaneous, and this trip felt like the perfect escape from her routine.
Jenny was equally excited, though her thoughts were a little more preoccupied. She had heard some whispers about strange things in the village—a quiet town tucked away in the mountains, with tales of mysterious sightings, but she pushed the thoughts aside. There was no need to worry about that. After all, this was supposed to be fun, a relaxing getaway.
As night fell, both girls sent messages to their families, letting them know they’d be gone for a few days. Arya struggled to sleep, her mind racing with the possibility of new experiences. The idea of exploring a new place, free from the pressures of school and daily life, filled her with excitement. She kept imagining the fresh air, the trees, the mountains—everything she needed to recharge.
In the stillness of the night, Jenny lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Something tugged at her thoughts, but she couldn’t place it. Was it just nerves? Or was there something about the village that she wasn’t quite ready to confront? She sighed, shaking it off. She’d think about it tomorrow, when they were on their way.
