It’s been about 18 months since I took my little sister and ran from my parents…. Will they miss Mary … Probably not, she was a mistake like they said and didn't acknowledge her. When she was born, they put her in my arms and said to take care of her and that I had to make sure they weren't bothered by her. I immediately fell in love with her, she was such a beautiful baby and I had to protect her. I gave her a name, I let myself be placed as the mother. my parents don't know this.

My dad isn't my dad... I don't know who my father is, my mother just wants to say that I am better off without him. The first five years of my life were nice, my mom did her best even though we didn't have much. Then it went downhill. My mom changed she was always angry, and she didn't respond anymore when I had nightmares and called her. Even though I was so young, I was fortunately brilliant, and at some point, I knew how to cope if my mother did not respond later, it turned out that she was not at home.

When I was about 7 years old, my mother came home one night with a man, she introduced him as my father, and the first few weeks were nice I even seemed to have my mother back, but unfortunately this quickly passed. If you thought this was bad, it could go even worse. Now I was expected to do everything in the house, was only 7 years old, and could never play with classmates when I came out of school I had to work in the house, I didn't do well I got slapped, I was busy for a long time could sleep shortly, and then go back to school.

When I was 16 years old, they found it was time I had to work outside … I have to say that was the best thing that could happen to me at that time. I was out of the house and where I worked the people were very friendly to me. Every week my parents held up their hands, and I had to hand in my wages.

You might be wondering didn't anyone notice what was going on... No. well, that's not entirely true, there were sometimes people who had questions, but my parents could act incredibly well and always had a story ready ... somehow people always took their story. After a while, I started saving up part of my wages and secretly took an extra job, they didn't realize that I was away from home even more, as long as the work was done in the house ... I could do well without sleep and yes as I said I preferred not to be at home. Because I was never safe there.

When I had saved enough to leave, my mother told me she was pregnant, my so-called father was furious but according to the doctor she had been pregnant for too long for an abortion. I couldn't abandon that child and take the risk that it would have as much of a childhood as I did even if it were my death, I would protect my brother or sister... When Mary was born, she was light and ill (my mother continued to use alcohol and medication/drugs) but she was strong and was allowed to go home quickly. I took care of Mary and took her with me when I had to work, when Mary was out for 14 months, I heard my parents talking.
