What is your opinion?

Gripping Victorian Noir

"Gripping story, from start to finish. The author nailed the whole London/Victorian backdrop masterfully. There is a constant linger of a potential supernatural presence/threat related to the murders and to the case, as it unfolds, and that just keeps the reader on their toes. The plot is well thought and played out and the two main characters almost engulf the whole story. I thought Weston had a great character development and I loved seeing his evolution. As for Jeffers, I would have liked to see a bit more of him. The secondary characters are mostly a backdrop for the action, but they do add to the story, as it unfolds. The story has a nice, steady pace, very appropriate for this sort of narrative. There are only two things that I would like to point out, but these are my personal preferences, and they do not affect the general 5-star review this deserves: first off, I thought Annie had an enormous potential to aid in the investigation. In my humble opinion, she was a bit wasted as a secondary character. Second, I would just have liked to see a bit more of the final steps in the investigation, before the big reveal. I understand the shock factor the author was going for, but it seemed there was probably a chapter lacking somewhere. But, all in all, a very solid work, that kept me coming for more. 😁"

The Devils Fever

"Such an amazing book I loved every second! The killers reminded me of Jack the Ripper as it was unsolved for so long, but I loved the ending! There were a few times I questioned the plot but every surprise was connected and I found no plot holes. Good job author, keep writing and have an amazing day!! :)"

Will Jeffers and Weston solve this troubling case?…

"Jeffers is a detective who works with corrupt people who are planning to have a young boy hung even though the evidence isn’t actually there that the boy did what he’s accused of. Jeffers is actually interested in figuring out who the killer in question is, and Jeffers has already gotten some help from a man named Weston that could help him crack the case. Will Jeffers (with some help from Weston) be able to crack the case and figure out who the killer is? And will they be able to prevent the young boy who has been unjustly targeted from being hanged? I’m a few chapters into this book so far, and am really enjoying it. As with the other stories by this author, it’s written in a way that keeps the reader’s attention, the characters are intriguing, and the plot is well-crafted. I highly recommend reading this book, and I look forward to reading the rest of it!"

REVIEW FOR PROLOGUE

"Hello! I think your prologue really paints a vivid picture of the hard times in Victorian London, which is very interesting! But, I think adding more details about the characters and why they do what they do can make the story more interesting. Also, maybe keeping the story a little faster would help keep readers on the edge of their seats! Just a thought! *** Oh sorry, I'm new to this site and wasn't familiar with the comment section and these comments were about the first part of your novel. But I try to provide feedback for each chapter.***"
