Smoke, Mirrors, and Ash

Summary

This was inspired by a tiktok series I saw, Gen Z in the League of villains. Some of the plot's the same other parts are different. M/N L/N had a rough life. Growing up as a FTM transgender gay teen in a homophobic transphobic household and the seven almost eight year age gap between himself and his siblings made him like an only child. After his older brother moved out, the only person in his family who supported and defended him, his mother turned physically abusive. His grades plummeted and in his junior year, he completely gave up on life. The only things in his life that managed to put a smile on his face were cats, music, and anime. His favorite anime was Boku No Hero Academia. He spent hours upon hours watching and re-watching episodes reading and writing fanfiction, listening to comfort audios. It was his escape. When things get even worse at home, M/N gets even more depressed and can't even find the motivation to watch his show anymore. One day, while in his math class, he passes out only to wake up in a terrifyingly familiar bar surrounded by the people he was constantly thinking about. He had somehow travelled to another universe. At that moment M/N makes a decision. He changes his name and becomes a whole new person. He's determined to make his life better. But everyone knows that there's only so far you can run before your past finds you. This is an Xreader fanfic.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! Okay, this is really important, so please don't skip this. This whole story is a content warning, pretty much. I like making really angsty crap, but this is on a different level, even for me. I've cried six times already, and most of them were just writing an outline. I hope you've all checked the content labels, because there's a lot of 'em.

This story has homophobic, transphobic, abusive parents, mentions of abusive ex partners, mentions of self harm (off screen), brief mentions of past eating disorders, mentions of a past suicide attempt, mentions of parents abusing substances, mentions of attempted r@pe, and I'm pretty sure that's all the content warnings.

And now, I'm only saying this because I've had it happen before, LGBTQA+ characters, mentions, relationships, whatever, does not require a content warning. Not my fault ya'll didn't read the tags. And if anyone makes any disrespectful comments about anyone, for anything, you will be blocked and reported. This is a safe space for writers to share their creative works, and get helpful criticism and feedback. If you don't like what I write, then that's your opinion, and you have a right to it. But I have my own opinion as well, along with everyone else here. If you can't just let people enjoy what they enjoy, then you can get the fuck out. Doors up your ass, two lefts, then a right, past the stick. Seriously, I'm chill, as long as people respect each other. Aight, that should be all. Now, onto my highly angsty, emo, very very very fucking gay, Xreader fanfiction.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

The Contract Wife

jo987_123: The story could be longer, the ending feels like you've missed the last episode of a series that is never going to be shown again and no recording of it exists anywhere. A lot of continuity errors, she leaves her car in town/at college and then it's at home the next morning. She helped him out of his...

Bound to the Bear

BlackKat07: Loved the characters and plot. Unfortunately after about chapter 10 the book really needs a good proof-read - lots of spelling and grammatical errors that spoiled it for me.
